Friday's Five

I feel like I have written this post all week long. I was in a training class all week and wrote when I could, aka between class segments and before class. So if I haven't responded to your comments or have commented on your blog, know it is because I was super busy this week. I hope to catch up today and this weekend!

But I am thankful it is the weekend. We don't have a lot planned as it is supposed to be a cold and rainy weekend. Let's just hope we have enough sunshine to get out and go on some walks and get out of the house.

Onto, Friday favorites.

ONE. You know when you have an issue with a package you received and the company is awful to work with? Well I can tell you Bumble and Bumble is pretty amazing. No this isn't sponsor talk, just sharing an amazing company with you.

I have been using B&B for years. My old hairstylist introduced me to it and I always go back to it. I do try other shampoos, but always go back to B&B in between trying new ones. They have a great price point, it doesn't weigh down my hair, love the scent and it gives my fine hair some volume. I use the thickening shampoo and conditioner. I have used other shampoos and conditioners by them as well, but this one is my favorite.

Anyways, back to why they have great customer service. I received a liter of the conditioner along with some samples and when I opened the box, the conditioner had exploded and was everywhere. I tried to clean the samples and see how much was gone from the bottle and about half of the bottle was inside the box. I called B&B and told them what happened and they said immediately said they were sending me a new one in express shipping with more samples. I asked if I needed to send back the damaged one and they said no. They said to keep it and use it if there is still some left. No questions asked.

That is good customer service.

TWO. I love getting memories on Facebook, especially when they are of my sweet baby girls. I don't post much to Facebook anymore, but I did right after the girls were born. A couple days ago, this picture of Sutton came up in my feed. She loved this swing. More than her sister did. I could put her in the swing and she would go for hours if I let her. Look at how little my nugget was. And look at how big the WubbaNub was compared to Sutton! All the heart eye emojis.

THREE. I am in several work pools for sports over the year to find out my draft position for the 2017 NFL Fantasy Football. Last one was March Madness and this one is the Masters. Now this one is hard for me since I only knew people from the first group. I literally picked names from the other three groups based on how cool, unique or fun their names were. I am sure this isn't a good strategy, but when you know little about golf, it is what you do.

FOUR. Pearl and Monroe strikes again. This time in the form of a pineapple shirt. I saw the shirt on Instastories and fell in love with it because who doesn't love pineapples. It looked great on Jess and I knew I needed it. I asked her what size she was wearing and promptly wrote medium for my size. I seriously can't wait to wear this all summer. So cute.

I really wanted this peplum, but I know I shouldn't buy anymore. Ha. Especially when I am trying to buy a car. But seriously go grab this beauty before it's gone.

FIVE. It is getting closer and closer to summer which means beach days. It also means days spent at Garwoods enjoying my most favorite cocktail ever, the Wet Woody. My sweet friend's birthday was Wednesday and she took the day off, headed to Lake Tahoe with her husband and enjoyed Wet Woody's. Jealous is an understatement, but she enjoyed her birthday in one of my favorite ways and definitely one of the ways we usually spend my birthday. Drinks at Garwoods followed by dinner in Tahoe. I love having Summer birthdays. And speaking of birthdays, it was Lindsay's, from Lindsay's Sweet World, birthday on Wednesday. Happy Birthday Lindsay!

SIX. My friend, Crystal has been battling stage 4 gastric cancer for over two years now. She travels back and forth between Reno and Houston (the top cancer institute) for her treatments. She is incredible. Not only is she fighting cancer, but she is still working, is a mom to a sweet three year old boy, has an amazing husband and is still trying to live her life to the fullest.

I know I don't talk about cancer much because let's face it, it is scary. But then I am reminded of how powerful cancer is and know that it is hard to kick its butt. You just never know when it hits close to home. So please send some prayers to my friend.

I am linking up with April, A Little Bit of Everything, Karli, Meet @ the Barre and Cup of Tea.
