Friday the 13th!

Happy Friday the 13th! This has been a very interesting week and one that I hope we don't have to repeat for a long time. Between losing our power for 20 hours on Monday - Tuesday, the girls colds were getting worse (think massive blowouts several times a day and even some throwing up) and me having some major side effects from the antibiotics I am on, I am hoping for a happier and healthier next week.

Today I am linking up with Karli, per usual.

One. Tomorrow is the last home game for the Pack. That means no more tailgating until the Super Bowl and that isn't really tailgating...it's partying. And tomorrow is one of my favorite tailgates. It's the annual Chili cook-off. No I am lazy (now) and don't make a chili, but I usually bring a dessert or all the toppings for the chili. Last year we had 25 entries and this pregnant momma loved it (pregnant last year, not this year). This year I can partake in the bloody mary bar and all the yummies I can take. And to top it off, we have a babysitter. So here is to the Pack winning (on Senior night) and getting a bowl bid.

Two. After the game, we will pick up our dear ladies and head to my sisters house. She is hosting us, my parents and my aunt at her house to show her house off. A pre-housewarming party. I can't wait to see their place. They had it built and picked out all the designs for it. Plus the girls will get to have lots of cuddles from their family!

Three. I have been buying way too many things this week. And none of it has been for me. Ok, I take that back. I did buy my shampoo, conditioner and thickening spray (Bumble and Bumble). But this week, we finally pulled the trigger on our holiday cards. Thanks to Minted, we got 20% off our foil card and they even address the cards to your recipients. You just have to put all the info in, but that was pretty easy. Way easier than writing over 50 cards out. Hand cramp problems. Use the code FOIL for your 20% off (until Monday 11/16).

Four. I also bought the girls Christmas stockings. I searched everywhere (online) and finally pulled the trigger. There was some good deals and I had a pretty specific type I wanted. That post is coming next week. Stay tuned.

Five. The holidays are fast approaching and I am beyond excited for them. In less than two weeks, we will be spending Thanksgiving with my in-laws family, cutting down Christmas trees the following day with my family and then ushering right into the Christmas season where we can start new traditions with the girls. I have so many things planned for the girls this holiday season. Hopefully my wallet can handle it and hopefully they enjoy it. In the meantime, I am just being grateful for being blessed with these two little girls to share life with. Oh and only 46 days until their first birthday (what?).

Can't wait to see the stockings you picked out for the girls. My stepmom made all of ours and I love them!! They all match in some way. Can't believe how close their birthday is which means Emmy's is right behind. Not possible! Have a great one!!

    1. This weekend was so much better and I think the girls are finally on the mend! My stocking and my husband's stockings were made for us when we were kids. I also have one that I made years ago too. But we didn't have anyone to recreate or match ours, so I bought some for the girls. They are more closely matched to my husband's than mine.

I still can't believe my girls will be 1 in about 6 weeks. And Emmy is right behind them. Going to make for a crazy holiday season.
