Here are my top contenders...(forewarned they are not so healthy, but Super Bowl is a CHEAT day)
Spicy Crockpot Meatballs
I made these for the girls first birthday party (which I am still working on that post) and they were a hit. I wanted to eat them all. They have the right amount of sweetness to spiciness. They were gone in a hot second. Rory never even got to try one, so this is a must for Super Bowl. Make these and double the batch if your crock pot allows.
Crock Pot Queso Dip
This dip is a guilty pleasure of mine. I know it is so bad for me, but it tastes so good. I usually only have it a potlucks at work, so I limit my intake and wait it out before eating it. Spicy sausage and cheese paired up with chips or pretzels and I am SOLD.
Bacon Wrapped Smokies
I have been making these for years. Thanks to my friend Kristina introducing me to them about 12 years ago. They are a staple at any get together. Plus they are super easy to make, easy to travel with and who doesn't like bacon?
Crock Pot Pulled Chicken
A recipe similar to this was served at the girls party and it went so fast. We paired it up with some simple rolls and it was so good. I loved pulled pork and chicken, so this was right up my alley. A definite crowd pleaser.
And for the sweet treats these will be on our table.
Funfetti Cake Batter Popcorn
If you know me, you know that I love Funfetti anything. I made funfetti cupcakes for the girls birthday (again, a post is coming) and I taste tested several to make sure they were good.
I have made this for Super Bowl and tailgates and it is a hit. I only make this for special events because I could eat the entire thing by myself. I halved the recipe and it still yielded a ton.
Cookie Dough Footballs
Seriously, how cute are these? I love cookie dough and so does everyone on this planet (ok maybe a few don't), but these are so festive and seem pretty easy to make.
Meatballs and queso are a must for football parties!
ReplyDeleteYes they are and these meatballs are amazing.
DeleteOmg!! It all looks amazing!! I'll be at yor house for the game. Ha ha!!!
ReplyDeleteI so wish you could be. I need a work trip out that way sometime so we can really meet.
DeleteI want to make all of this! I hate that Michael is gluten free now, it totally limits our options for delicious Super Bowl snacks. I bet I could eat that popcorn by myself too--I can eat tons of popcorn of basically any variety! Haha.
ReplyDeleteI bet it does. You should make the popcorn for yourself. It is sooo good. The actual popcorn is gluten free, but the cake batter part isn't. It would take some work, but you could probably make some of this gluten free. Like the meatballs. Just check and substitute the ingredients (soy sauce) for alternatives.
DeleteYUM! Meatballs and cheese dip...you are speaking my love language!
ReplyDeleteMine too!
DeleteSeriously everything in this post looks amazing!! Thar cheese dip, meatballs, and BBQ chicken especially, but also the popcorn and chocolate so I think that covers it all!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I have a thing for cheese! And I can't wait to enjoy all of this next weekend. It can't come soon enough.
DeleteAw I wanna come to your Super Bowl party! Everything looks amazing. I want that dip so bad now :)
ReplyDeleteI wish you lived closer so we could hang out. That would be amazing. I need a work trip out your way so we can meet up. And you should make the dip. So addicting.
DeleteSuper Bowl City (in SF) is 2 blocks from my work. Maybe I'll make some of these yummy snacks and go down there and make friends with the hot guys coming into town.
ReplyDeleteGotta love being single when your town hosts Super Bowl...lol
I am super excited that the SB is in SF, but sad the Niners are not in it. Though they played like crap and need to get their sh** together.
DeleteYou should go down there and meet some guys!
Ok...how did you do the popcorn? That looks delicious and I've never heard of or seen it before!
