Avery is weighing 10 pounds 3 ounces and 23 inches long. Little miss Sutton is weighing 9 pounds 10 ounces and 22 3/4 inches long. My girls are almost 2 feet tall already. Wow. And we were told their heads have gotten bigger too and they even measured my husbands and my head to see what the average my girls would end up being. My husband's head is in the 98% whereas mine is only 25 - 30 percentile.
The girls got their shots and screamed for about 45 seconds and then were happy as can be. I was worried about taking the bandaids off in the evening, but they didn't even flinch. Last time it was bloody murder screams all over again.
The girls are developing right on track. They are 4 months old, but their adjusted age is about 3 months. So they are doing things that both 3 and 4 month old are doing. But we did get told lots more tummy time and keeping them on one side rather than the other to even out their flat spots. They want to make sure the flat spots go away on their own otherwise they might need helmets for a month or so. Breaks my heart. But it happens a lot with twins and preemies. And our girls are both, so it was bound to happen. So now daycare and us are working on both. All.the.time.
The girls are scooting off their boppy, kicking a ton, grabbing for toys, items and mommy and daddy. They are almost rolling over and using their hands and feet a ton. We have little movers on our hands.
The girls are perfect and doing so well. Mommy and daddy are really happy with their progress. Next check up is in July at 6 months. Crazy to think they will be six months at the end of June. Time flies.
Sutton mastering the bumbo. Look at that neck strength.
Avery scooting her way down the bouncer. She loves kicking those toys and reaching for them.
And one more of Sutton working on laying on her rounded head side. Don't worry, she doesn't sleep with her toys in there. We just used them to keep her attention towards that way.
I have to say I have the most perfect beautiful little girls. Mommy loves you too.
On another note, I got their baby books last week and spent part of the weekend putting them together. Now I just have to print some more photos to finish up to their 4 month mark.
They are so precious and growing so fast!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. I can't believe how time is flying with them. Got to savor every last second with these girls.
