Confessional Thursday

It's Thursday which is my Friday this week (hello Veteran's Day) and that also means that it is time to confess. Grab the button below, write your confessions and come back here to link up.

I CONFESS...

/ that I am so glad this election is over. I am so sick of seeing how outspoken people are over their candidate. We all have opinions and swayed one way or another. But there is no need to bash others for who they chose. I will leave it at that.

/ that I have had more bad days over the last month than the last year. Renovations are killing us. I will save that for another post to come on what I have learned from renovating our kitchen.

/ that Sutton threw her milk on me Tuesday morning because she didn't want to drink it with the crushed up pill in it. She straight up threw the cup at me. I was in work clothes and I was covered head to toe in milk. Not my best moment. Plus I kept finding spots of dried milk on my face and that doesn't look right (catch my drift).

/ that I was giddy inside all day yesterday when one of the girls' teachers told me that I looked really skinny and healthy. Thank you. I will take it. I have been running and trying to keep active through all the chaos in life.

/ that I miss my dog, Walter so much and I hope he gets to come home this weekend. 4 weeks without my little dude is a lot. Sure, we get to see him when we go to my in-laws house, but I don't get my nightly cuddles.

/ that I have been trying to start a Christmas list/Amazon wish list for myself, but every time I do, I end up adding things to my girls' list. I can't wait to celebrate Christmas with them this year.

/ that I am dying to get back our family photos. The teaser was cute and funny and I can't wait to see more.

See you all tomorrow for Friday Favorites.

  1. I laughed at the confession of the thrown milk. Been there. I hope Walter gets to come home soon. We felt that way when it our rental last year. It was tough not having Bo. I'm struggling with Christmas lists across the board. Ugh!

  2. I hope Walter gets to come back home soon! We are doing a new gift giving style this year, so I'm trying to be very intentional with what we purchase. It is a bit of a struggle sometimes.

  3. hahah about the milk on your face (I mean, not funny that it happened, but the reference made me laugh this morning). Hoping you have lots and lots of puppy snuggles in your future!

  4. Ugh I do not want to hear or read another political post for the rest of my life! That made me laugh about the milk on your face, but not on your clothes! Gotta love toddlers!

  5. Agree with the politics! I had a few people ask why I hadn't written politics on my blog haha. I'm like- there is more than enough being written about politics at the moment, let's just keep it light on the blog.

    1. Exactly. I am trying to keep it light too. So much hate out there right now and it saddens me. Have a great day!

  8. After a lot of thought, I decided to say my piece this morning on my blog and it felt good to get it off my chest. Now I'm ready for everyone to get back to sunshine and rainbows because the nastiness has to stop.

I'm DYING about the milk reference. You are hilarious!

  9. Yay for having Friday off! I am so glad this election is over, too. It was exhausting!! And it seemed to bring out the worst in so many people. It was heartbreaking. I’m sorry you’ve had so many rough days. Praying that gets better for you soon! And the dried up milk…totally get it! Ha. Hope your sweet pup gets to come home soon.

  11. That's smart to make an Amazon christmas list. I need to do that.
Oh my gosh... I can imagine you with milk all over a work outfit. I would have just stood in silence for a minute so I didnt blow a gasket.

  12. I'm so behind on your blog. What happened to Walter?! Oscar throws things at me every day I think. I'm always thankful when whatever it is doesn't contain liquid! Frickin' toddlers!

    1. Haha. No worries. He was staying at my in-laws house for a month while we have been renovating our kitchen. Not us, but a contractor. It takes so much work and Walter can't be around while they work. They have the doors constantly open and he barks at people he does not know. Toddlers are crazy. They have been hitting more lately. The worst. I miss you guys and can't wait to see you again.
