Thank Goodness for Friday

Friday is here! You are my third favorite day of the week (Saturday, Sunday).

Today I am linking up with Karli and April.

One. I told you last Friday that I was shopping for bikinis. Well I went to Target and Victoria Secret. While I loved the purple cut out bikini I posted here, they didn't have my size. They also didn't have my size in a mint green one I liked. I thought I would order it online should I not find one at Victoria Secret. Or if I didn't want to pay for a pricey VS one. But I went to VS and fell in love with two of them. Since I am not in the market to buy two bikinis right now, I opted for my favorite. And I think it is perfect for Mexico. Plus my dear friend Stacey offered me all of her VS bikinis that will fit my smaller chest.

Two. I am trying to figure out some toddler meals for my girls to take to daycare. Or even to make at home. My girls are LOVING finger foods or anything we are eating. Just last week they had brisket, mac n cheese and garlic bread. Their new favorite is apple cinnamon french toast. I am in desperate need of new ideas. So please send me your tips, recipes or toddler favorites. I really want to make these for them this weekend.

Three. During wingo (wine and bingo) night this week with my girlfriends, one of them brought up sports bras. Ok I brought up small boobs, my consultations and what to do in the meantime. Krista suggested I look into THE BEST SPORTS BRA EVER. Sports bras by Lorna Jane. They give you that natural lift (great for small boobs like mine) and are the best quality. Not only do they have sports bras, but a ton of cute workout gear. Now I am adding to my wish list and can't wait to buy one of these. Here are a few of my favorites.

Four. Yesterday I had my Cat Scan and the drink they give you to prep you is awful. I had the vanilla flavor and the first couple drinks weren't too bad, but then it got worse. Awful. I wanted to puke with each sip. And I had to drink two bottles of it. Once I got to the hospital, checked in and was taken back, I realized that I had to get an IV. I had forgotten about this part. They give you an IV to give you more contrast and as it goes through your veins it warms you up. All the way to your bladder. It felt like I had peed myself. Thankfully I had not. It was pretty quick and easy. Now I should get results today to see if it is a double hernia or a reoccurring one.

And more good news is my surgery was approved by my insurance, so I should be all set after getting my results later today.

Five. A photo drop of things we have been up to this week.
 Avery loves bath time
Sutton sporting a mohawk (their hair is finally long enough to put in a mini ponytail!)
Rawbry - A new local juice place (this one was coconut water, lemon and watermelon)

  1. So glad that everything went okay for you yesterday! Your girls are just the sweetest!

We just fed Cash whatever we were eating to at least try the different textures or tastes. Lunches were always different for him when he was about the girls' age. Quesadillas, sandwiches, nuggets, fruits, veggies {specifically peppers with ranch}, buttered noodles with broccoli, cheese, hard boiled eggs. That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Have a great weekend!

    1. Those are all great ideas. I want to try the buttered noodles and nuggets. I currently bake chicken breast about two to three times a week and it gets to be a lot of work. Haha. I want to try avocado on toast fingers. The girls love quesadillas too. Thank you for all your suggestions and sweet words about my ladies.

  2. Such awesome photos! I've had the contrast CTs before and they are the worst kind. So glad it's over for you. Also I love the bikini you chose. So pretty! Also perfect for Mexico!

    1. Yes the contrast CTs are awful. My arms still hurts from the IV. I have never had an IV that hurt so much during the initial poke and after. It felt like he kept shoving the needle in farther and farther. Super happy with my bikini choice even though it was more expensive than I wanted to pay. Plus the bottoms are more forgiving since they aren't as tight, haha.

    1. Me too. So happy I found it. Now I want more in different colors. The ruffled bottoms are cute and flattering since they aren't so tight and restrictive.

    1. Oh that is a good idea for a new way to give them pancakes. My girls loves pancakes, waffles and french toast. We gave them apple cinnamon french toast last weekend and it was a hit. Huge chunks of apple in it too. I want to try those this weekend.

    1. VS and Target are my go-tos also. Love them. I have several VS ones (the tops now don't fit) and they seem to hold up the best.

Definitely relieved about my insurance. So much less stress in my life now. Have a good weekend!

  14. I've wanted to try some Lorna Jane pieces for a while now, but can't get over the $$! My boobs are tiny and I don't need much support..but it would be nice to have something cute! Love the tub hair! So cute :)

    1. I can't get over the price either. But I figure if I buy one sports bra and like it enough then I can set workout goals and get more pieces as I hit those goals. Win win both ways.

  15. I have GOT to try new foods too. A while back someone gave me Jessica Seinfeld's cookbook - Deceptively Delicious. It is great food but a little bit of work. I am hoping for a morning or afternoon this week where I can make a bunch of stuff to have on hand in the fridge.
Maybe a work trip will bring you to Atlanta - chick fil a on every corner!

    1. The muffins I made were pretty easy and the girls loved them. I want to try different things in them next time and see how well they do with them. I love Atlanta and have been for work. Hopefully I get to go again soon!
