Confessional Thursday

It's Thursday which means another edition of Confessional Thursday. If you want to join along, write about your confessions, grab the button below and link up with Jess from The Newly. Simple.

I confess that I have had a headache behind my right eye for three days now and I can't take any asprin because I have surgery next Friday and was instructed nothing until after surgery. Ugh. I wish I could pop my eyeball out, massage the area and put it back in. Gross. Yep.

I confess that I am planning a trip to the Sacramento/Vacaville area so we can get a dresser for the girls room (I am not spending a bunch of money on something they will color on, ding up, etc.), shop at the outlets and most importantly, eat at Chick-fil-A. No we don't have one yet (they promised one a few months ago) and I can't wait it out. I must have Chick-fil-A. NOW.

I confess that I am literally counting down the days until my girls trip next month. 30 days! 30 days until we celebrate Stacey's 30th birthday with a limo, wine (3 wineries), beer, homemade dinner and an unforgettable time in California. And this momma gets to go. I.CAN'T.WAIT.

I confess that I cried while trying on bikinis in Target last weekend. Those dressing room lights do not do anyone justice. Can I just say that I need to double up on my Simply Fit Board and the gym. Woof.

I confess that I am obsessed with my Vivoactive. Like I don't know how I never tracked my steps, sleep, workouts and movement. And my sleep habits are the ones that surprise me. It shows my deep, light and awakenings throughout the night. So cool.

I confess that I am upset about my CT Scan this afternoon. Not only do I have to pay for it (unless my insurance deems it part of my surgery), but I have to drink an awful contrast drink 2 hours before. And the purpose of this scan, so my insurance can have further proof of my hernia. A hernia that sticks out when I stand, do leg lifts and hurts all the time. And CT Scans don't always show the hernia since you are laying down and most go back in when you lay down. So it might be a complete waste of time and money. Ugh.

I confess that I am pumped for the afternoon of my surgery. I will have the house to myself until the evening and I plan on binge watching Fuller House. Then when my sweet husband and babies get home (my parents are taking me to my surgery), I get to continue my recovery in our bedroom watching more Fuller House and Gilmore Girls. Just what the doctor ordered after surgery.

I confess that I am over this whole molar teething business. It sucks. You guys, they scream at me and can't be consoled when their little (big) teeth break through. And I literally count down the minutes until bedtime if they are having a bad evening due to teething. Oh please help me if they are crazy tonight since I am on bedtime duty alone.

And those are my confessions. Don't forget to link up.

  1. Why is dressing room lighting so bad? Ugh! Just not right. I am sure you looked wonderful in those suits. I hope your CT scan goes well and your insurance pays! Sending you positive thoughts for the evening and bedtime.

    1. I don't know, but it shows every crease and unflattering angle it seems. You would think they would make them more like at home so you would buy more. Nope. And thank you for the positive thoughts. I could use them.

  2. And not only the dressing room lights...but also the fact that there are mirrors in front of AND behind you. No one wants to see their own backside in that light!

    1. Exactly. My backside is what made me cry. I know everyone has cellulite, but it is so much worse with those lights. Ugh.

  3. Aww girl, I'm thinking of you for your surgery! As for dressing room lighting...don't let it get you down. It's the lights, not you! Plus the paleness of winter is sad in itself haha. Hope that headache goes away!

    1. I know. I could use a bit of sun. But I won't get that until Mexico! But at least it looked better on at home when I tried on my suit for Rory.

  4. Prayers for the CT to do its duty and be covered. Seriously, stupid to do a CT for this. I do not even want to think of bikinis right now. And essential oils... seriously they do wonders for just about anything that ails me including baby teething and molars? when do those comes in? It never ends with babies huh? I also have a girls trip coming up in April and I need it like I need oxygen to live. And no chick fil a? What?!? where on earth do you live woman? Do I need to send you some? Cause I had it yesterday after the horrible bloodwork experience because yes it makes it all better. Ok I rambled on.

    1. It is stupid to do a CT for this. It is obvious. My doctor pointed it out right away. Oh what oils would I use for teething? The molars start anywhere from 10 months and on. Our girls started popping through around a year. And you have four big ones to come in. Yes best way to put it (needing it like I need oxygen to live). Haha, I live in Reno, NV and we are getting one soon. They just didn't want to be in Nevada due to gambling and prostitution but they finally gave in. And ramble on all you want. Haha.

    1. I only get them when I travel for work or go over to California (about an hour and a half away). But I crave it all the time. So good and I am not a fast food person.

    1. How far is the closest one to you? I was trying to convince my husband to go to California this weekend, but we just got a ton of snow last night so he is saying maybe next weekend. Ugh I haven't surgery next weekend. I won't want to be in the car. And thanks for the prayers!

    2. The closest one is about 45 minutes away! I totally agree on not being in the car right after surgery!

  7. Oh Chick-Fil-A, how I love thee. Sending you lots of prayers and good vibes for your scan, surgery and that headache. Keep that eyeball in for a few more days! And now I want to plan a limo night out with my girls!

    1. Thank you. The headache is a bit better today probably because of the massive amounts of caffeine I keep having. Haha. We are going to wine country for the 30th birthday so a limo is needed. And you should have a girls night out!

  13. Man oh man I need a girls trip! And I think all dressing rooms have the worst lighting- which is stupid if they want us to actually buy the dang clothes!!!
