I feel this like month's What's Up Wednesday post is going to look a lot different for people. I am sure we will all have very similar what we have been up to's. I am really hoping to get out of this stay-at-home order soon so we can slowly acclimate back to "normal" life.

Onto this month's What's Up Wednesday...What's Up Wednesday

WHAT WE ARE EATING THIS WEEK...
Sunday: Weeknight Spaghetti by Ina Garten
Monday: Turkey burgers with fries (from the air fryer)
Tuesday: Carne asada tacos with guac and fruit
Wednesday: Sausages and steamed artichokes
Thursday: Take-out pizza
Friday: Not sure. We are running out of ideas on what to make at home.
Saturday: Ditto to the above.

WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT... Going to restaurants, going to playgrounds, going to the bowling alley, going to the beach....just about everything that isn't at home.

WHAT I'M LOVING... Being able to sleep in each day. My typical work day, I would get up at 5:30 am. Now I get up about 5 minutes before 7.

I am also loving all the walks we take each day.

Family time.

Playing basketball and getting little workouts in.

Saving money. I usually fill up with gas about 4 times per month. Sometimes more if we go to the beach or somewhere more than an hour away. Also, we haven't been getting take-out that much, so that has saved us too. But our grocery bill is insane.

WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO...Pretty much what the rest of America is up to...we have been hanging out at home, spending time with family and cooking a lot more.

WHAT I'M DREADING... That we won't get back to a normal for a long time. That we will miss out on a lot of the Summer activities because we can't get out of this stay-at-home order.

WHAT I'M WORKING ON... Keeping up with my blog, working out way through some tv series and working from home.

WHAT I'M EXCITED ABOUT... We rebooked our trip to Mexico for October, so I am excited about that. I am also excited about our upcoming Graeagle trip as long as we can still go in June.

WHAT I'M WATCHING/READING... I recently read
Room 553 - Britney KingThe Housekeeper - Natalie Barelli and Open Book - Jessica Simpson. Now I am reading The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell.

I am watching all of my usual favorites like:  Good Girls, Botched, Top Chef and Riverdale. And we finally started watching the last season of True Detective. We quickly binged Ozark and are awaiting Working Moms and Dead to Me to come out next month.

WHAT I'M LISTENING TO... The TV in the background.

WHAT I'M WEARING... We finally have temperatures in the 70s and 80s, so I have been wearing comfy dresses and shorts. I have been wearing this dress that I bought last year and I recently bought another one.

Daily Ritual Black Sleeveless Dress

I have been wearing these shorts on repeat as well.

These tanks from Nordstrom are getting a lot of wear as well.
Chelsea28 Jersey Tank Top

WHAT I'M DOING THIS WEEKEND... I am sure we will be taking walks and being outside.

WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH... I am hoping that May brings the end to the stay-at-home order and we can start to get back to normal. That means going to restaurants and taking the kids to play places like the playgrounds, trampoline parks, etc.

WHAT ELSE IS NEW...Not much

    1. Same. I have done cheese, crackers and salami. Or leftovers, but we need variety.

    1. I am sooo ready to explore as well. It needs to happen. We went out for a walk yesterday and everyone was out. Everyone is aching to get on with their lives and get outside. Gas is under $2. It is crazy.

  8. Great list of gratitude during such a time, friend. Love seeing that! Has your governor announced when he thinks you will move into phase 1?

    1. He is making an announcement tomorrow, but told Good Morning America he is extending it a bit. I hope it is only for a week. I want to go out to breakfast for Mother's Day outside and just go to our camping trip we have planned in June. We shall see. You guys are in Phase 1 correct?

  9. We've been saving money too but I totally agree that our grocery bill in insane!.. which is odd because I have always cooked almost all of our meals at home and don't feel like we're eating any differently or buying more than usual.

  10. We are definitely saving money by not eating out or going anywhere (except to the grocery store and the liquor store - ha!) but oh my goodness -- does the grocery bill ever feel high?!?! I too am tired of cooking all the time, even though I didn't think we ate out that much.

And we are on "stay at home" orders until the end of May (and possibly beyond) and I just want to be done. But I also don't want to put people's lives at risk.

  11. Yes to so much of this! The "reminiscing" part of these posts have taken on a new life. There's so much to look back on/miss (and hopefully look forward to!). Did you like the latest Ozark? We loved it -- so intense! I'm partway through reading Open Book but I lost steam. I'll need to jump back into it. And yes to the crazy grocery bill! So much food! xo

    1. It was really intense. We thought this season was better than the last one. You should jump back in. It gets redundant at times because she keeps going back to John Mayer, but it is really a good read. So much food!!!

  13. I am with you, I am so tired of cooking and coming up with recipe ideas. And dont even get me started on dishes!!! I haven't gotten gas since the first or second week of March! Crazy, since I was there almost twice a week...about every 5 days or so I need to fill up. I cannot wait to go eat at a restaurant again. Our grocery bill is off the charts.

    1. It really is crazy how less gas we use, but way more groceries. I need new recipe ideas. That is why I love when people post new ones that I can try.
