I don't have babies or toddlers anymore, but I do have a niece and nephew that I still shop for. I have rounded up the girls favorites from when they were smaller and some items I know they would have loved. Some of these items, my girls still play with and use today.
Madeline Book or any book
This is one of my girls favorite books. They can recite every word with me as I read it. I get the girls books every holiday and I wanted to share one of our favorites. They also love Olivia, A Sister More Like Me, Night Night London, etc.
We do not have this, but I know some kids who do and they love it. I am thinking about getting it for my niece.
My girls have this tee pee, but in a different print and they LOVE it. They make forts with it, hide in it and still play in it almost daily.
We also have this tee pee floor cushion that fits perfectly inside the tee pee.
The girls got this kitchen from my sister when they turned one. It took me about 4 hours to put it together, but they loved it soooo much. We recently just gave it to a friend, so their kids could enjoy it. My girls got a ton of use out of it.
My girls don't have this chair, but they do have the bean bags which they love. We did get this for my nephew and he uses it all the time.
These are a huge deal in our house. I got them for the girls stockings last year and they still use them. You fill the brush up with water, they paint (which means apply water to the page) the page and the paper turns colors. When it dries, it goes back to white, so they can do it again and again. We even got them for my nephew. Plus they are great for road trips and on airplanes.
The girls loved their Sophies when they were teething. And my friend's daughter that I visited in Oklahoma is obsessed with hers.
My girls didn't have this, but they loved the piano mat at the Discovery Museum, so I am sure they would have loved this.
We got Zoe a sit and spin this year. She absolutely loves that kitchen. My sister got me A Sister More Like Me several years ago and wrote a note in it for me about how it was like her and I growing up. I still keep it in my home office :) Zoe is super in to all the princess dolls this year. I am getting the ones she doesn't have yet for her birthday, but I cant decide what her big gift will be for Christmas. I am thinking an easel. She has her eye on the frozen castle, but I am not sure how much she would play with it.
ReplyDeleteThat is sooo sweet about the book A Sister More Like Me. We took the girls to Frozen 2 this weekend and it is a lot that book. All about sisterhood. It was sooo good. My girls love the princess dolls too. We got the girls an easel a few years ago. It is a good gift.
DeleteOOh these are some great options for my nieces. That piano mat reminds me of Tom Hanks in Big! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat is what it reminded me of as well. I loved that movie!
DeleteMy goodness... how I loved Sit n Spin's when I was little!!!!
ReplyDeleteI did too!! Such a cool gift.
DeleteThese are all such great ideas! I'm a HUGE fan of little tents, and we have a few of those Water Wow! books - they're fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThey are the best. Especially for travel. We love our tent. WE just had to take it down for a few months during renovations.
DeleteThe Sit n Spin is awesome! My littlest brother had one and I used to jump on it and spin when I was like 11! Haha.
ReplyDeleteI loved it too. I really want to get one for the girls!
DeleteYes yes yes! We have a kitchen, tent, those water wows and that exact chair! All huge hits! Haven't tried a sit and spin yet -- maybe for Isabelle next year. :)
ReplyDeleteThey are big hits for sure. My girls have a few of them and love them! The sit and spin is amazing. Totally from my childhood!
