Friday's Happenings

It is finally Friday. This week dragged on for me. Did it for anyone else?

Today I am linking up with Karli and April.

One. Thank you for your kind words on yesterday's confessions. I can't believe so many of my blogger friends have gone through the same thing as I did in 2009 (punch biopsy and Leep). Makes me feel a little more comforted as I wait for my pap results. Fingers crossed everything is good.

Two. Today is the first day that I haven't worn my abdominal binder in two weeks (which means I am two weeks post op). While I love my binder because it keeps everything tight and makes doing daily activities easier, it is bulky and makes me itch. I can't believe how much my belly has changed since pre-op to today.

Three. I failed and never ordered any of the dresses I posted a few weeks back for the wedding I am going to at the end of April and now I am bummed the one I wanted is sold out in size small. So now I am back to shopping around for a dress. I just can't decide. I don't want to spend a ton of money, but I do want to find a cute dress. And the one I wanted was on sale for $62, but I don't know if I medium would be too big. Do I go for the back up even though it isn't Springy? Find a new one? Rent one from Rent the Runway? Help!

Four.
Someone sent me this this week and I absolutely loved it. I would like to believe that it is very true and I am so blessed to have identical twin girls! It's the simple reminders.

Five. I won the CaseApp giveaway that Amy hosted a few weeks ago and I have made about three cases before deciding on a finaled product (I wanted to include so many pictures). I can't wait to receive my custom beauty and show you all!

Hope you all have a good weekend!

  1. I think the other dress will work fine. Plus, my experience has been that if something doesn't fit right, it's just uncomfortable to wear it. I used to frequently buy one size up in shoes. They were hardly ever worn.

    1. Thanks for your input. And yes, I don't want to be tugging on the dress all night because it doesn't fit right.

    1. Awesome. Did you pick the correct size? I know they said they will send you two sizes, but I want to make sure I order the two right sizes. But I love the thought of it!

  4. Can't wait to see what your case looks like! I'm so excited to see. If you choose to go the Rent the Runway route, please give all the details. I'm so curious as to how programs like that work. :) Happy weekend!

  8. Girl your tummy is looking fantastic! I'm so jealous of your pretty new innie! I was an innie my whole life and now I have an outie. Boo. It's gonna look so good by the time you guys leave for your trip!

Also, I have heard great things about Rent the Runway but I've never tried it! I might do it next year for our ball!

    1. Thank you!!! You should get yours checked out to make sure you don't have a hernia. That is what happened after having my girls. I had an innie and it was a gross outtie after. Not that outties are gross, but mine looked awful.

If I do Rent the Runway, I will let you know how it goes.

    1. Thank you and you think red is ok for a spring wedding?

  10. I love both dresses! The neckline on the navy dress is amazing, but if it's too big you won't feel comfortable.
