Friday Favorites and Happenings

Happy Friday! Today is my last day working from home, full time. Next week, I go back into the office three days a week. After I had two full weeks off for recovery, I got to work from home for the last 4 weeks. Not going to lie, I am a bit scared of how I will be able to sit in an office chair for 9 hours a day. But fortunately one of my coworkers is going to come get me for walks throughout the day. Even just in the hallways to get me up and moving.

Anyways, onto Friday favorites and happenings.

ONE. So I got Rory to try on his shirt and pants from Travis Mathew. We already knew that he liked the brand, but he wanted a new pair of slacks/golf pants (seriously you can wear them anywhere). I asked him if he liked them and he said yes. He asked me to get another pair of the pants, but when we went to purchase another pair, the only colors left were dark gray, a steel blue and black. He has a lot of those colors, so he asked me to keep an eye of for any restocks in other colors.

He also said this polo is soft, breathable and perfect for the office or golf course. So his items were a total win!

TWO. So what did I end up keeping?

Just the faux leather skirt and sweater. Rory said I should keep the cami, but it is almost my birthday and I get free shipping and a coupon for my birthday from J Crew, so I am going to buy one of these below.

THREE. Last weekend we went to a friends house in the mountains by Graeagle for a birthday party at the pool. We stayed up there overnight and it was the perfect day. It would have been better if I could have gone in the pool, past my knees, but hopefully that happens soon. This is also the first time I curled my hair since surgery. Small steps.

Part of dinner by the pool.

The next day the boys went golfing and us girls went into Graeagle for some shopping. But when we got there, there was a big craft fair/festival in the park. We scored some good parking and walked around. Boy was it hot though. We did get ice cream at our favorite spot! After shopping, we headed back and met the boys at the lodge for some food and then went back to the pool so the kids could swim. I just soaked up the sunshine and took many videos!

We almost bought the girls these crowns, but they wanted to get matching necklaces instead.

FOUR. This week Rory came to DJ Trivia with me and my sister and brother-in-law watched the girls for us. But before we went over to their house, we went to dinner. Now that the girls are reading everything, they often read the menu. When they saw mud pie, they asked what it was and so very sweetly asked if we could get it. How could we say no? But when we got it, it was massive. Like this piece could feed 6 adults. Ha. We couldn't finish it. The picture doesn't do it justice.

FIVE. Friday Funnies.

Have a great weekend. I am linking up with A Little Bit of Everything.

  1. I have that J Crew scalloped cami in two different colors and I love them! I've had them for years and they're still in excellent condition even after many wears. They're so good!

  5. Yes, slow steps. I am glad that you have a coworker that will help you walk even if it’s just in the hallway. I love the Halogen skirt. Very pretty and the length is just right! Ooo I am craving that mud pie. It looks so yummy and holy cow that it can feed six people!

  6. I definitely can barely pull an all-dayer at this point! I was with my fam yesterday, and my cousin was like, "What are you doing after this?" I was like, "GOING HOME?! Laying in my air conditioned bedroom??" haha!
