I have not participated in a monthly What's Up Wednesday post since June 2021. That is a long time. I am not sure why I got away from it, but I did. And since it has been forever since I gave an update on really anything, I thought I would participate in this month's.

Anyways, onto this month's What's Up Wednesday...What's Up Wednesday
WHAT WE ARE EATING THIS WEEK...
Sunday: Rory and I went to dinner since we had just landed from our weekend in Colorado. The girls ate with my in-laws.
Monday: Spicy Tomato Cream Pasta with Pancetta and Bread
Tuesday: Korean Beef Bowls with Brown Rice
Wednesday: Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup
Thursday: Unknown since I have a nail appointment.
Friday: Unknown
Saturday: Unknown, but I am sure I will cook something.

WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT... Our time in Colorado last weekend. We had the best time. We went there for Rory's Western Region company party and had the best time. We were with some of our closest friends and thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away.

WHAT I'M LOVING... I am really loving my Varley Vine Sweater. I got mine in a small in the dusty rose color and have worn it about 4 times now. I even more it in Colorado. It is so comfy, cute and can be dressed up with jeans or dressed down with leggings.

I haven't been shopping much lately, but I do wear these a lot which I bought in November and December. They are currently $12.48 each. Such a steal! I wear a size small.

WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO... Well, we rung in the New Year at home. We had a delicious King Crab dinner, followed by an early celebration and photoshoot with the girls. Then we ran in the new year in our pjs and actually stayed up until midnight.

We went to our friend's 50th birthday party and while I was there, I scoped out a wedding location for a family friend.

We had dinner over at my cousins house and we all played with their Oculus.

We celebrated the girls 7th birthday at a trampoline park and had the most beautiful ballerina cake.

We went to Beaver Creek and Vail, Colorado for a holiday party, which I will be recapping on its own.

We watched a lot of football including the Niners beating the Packers and hopefully beating the Rams this weekend.

WHAT I'M DREADING... Nothing really. Other than maybe a Niners loss.

WHAT I'M WORKING ON...Work stuff. Trying to get ahead on my blogging game. Making more Instagram posts. I have just not been motivated to write lately and I need to change that.

WHAT I'M EXCITED ABOUT... hopefully a Niner's Super Bowl. Ha. And the start of warmer weather.

WHAT I'M WATCHING/READING... I am currently reading The Therapist by B.A. Paris. I am only 5 chapters in, but so far it is good. I just finished Pretty Little Wife by Darby Kane which I will have a review coming up soon.

As for tv, I have been watching Million Dollar Listing LA, Ozark season 4, Goliath, Grey's Anatomy, Pivoting (a new show), Yellowjackets, This is Us, And Just Like That, and a few others.

WHAT I'M LISTENING TO... XM/Sirius radio. I wrote this while in the office.

WHAT I'M WEARING... Gosh, I feel like I have been pretty boring with what I have been wearing. I am wearing my Varley sweater that I posted above in What I'm Loving. I have also been wearing these jeans from American Eagle a lot on the weekends. I can dress them up and down. Super cute and I want another pair. Maybe this time without the holes. Also, mine don't have this many holes as the ones below.

Here are the ones I am eyeing.

Also, I didn't know this, but black jeans tend to run smaller, so ordered a size up. I ordered a 2L which is what I normally wear, but wish I had gotten the 4L.

WHAT I'M DOING THIS WEEKEND...We don't have many plans this weekend. Friday is nothing that I can remember. Saturday the girls are going roller skating with their grandparents and then we don't have much planned. Sunday we are going to a friend's house to watch the Niners game after the girls horseback riding lesson.

I am welcoming an easy weekend as our next few weekends are busy.

WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH... Super Bowl, my sister's birthday, hopefully a date night and I am getting longer extensions again.

WHAT ELSE IS NEW... I have something I want to share, but I just haven't felt right about it. Some of you know as I reached out to a few people, but otherwise I have kept some things secret. Mostly because life has been rough in 2021 and I am hoping this year is way better.

I know, why post if you are not going to say anything, but I am still struggling if I should post it or not.

Also, the girls are celebrating their 100th day of school on Friday and here is their shirts that we are working on. We still have some jewels to add to it, but since I wasn't able to order them a shirt, we made one.

  3. That 100 Day tee is so cute! This was the first year that we didn't have to make one and it makes me so sad. Our babies are growing up too fast!

  4. I love that korean beef bowl and make it often. I just finished a book with a king crab fisherman haha. I didn't realize how dangerous that job is. That barn is gorgeous! Whatever it is you are struggling whether or not to post, I hope all is well. I get being hesitant to share certain things. I feel like I am not always authentic when I chose to not share...but also...sometimes you just want to protect yourself and not put everything out there. I totally get that. If you ever need a non-judgy listening ear...you know where I am.

    1. We do too. And the sauce that you put on top really makes it. What book was that?

And thank you. I am writing it out on a post, I am just not sure when or if I will share it. But thank you for the ear. I may take you up on it.
