I hope you have a great day today. Not just because it is Valentine's Day, but because I want you all to have a happy day. I know in the past Valentine's Day has weighed on me whether I had a significant other or not. I feel like the day has Hallmark written all over it and we should celebrate our loved ones everyday.
That sentiment has changed a bit over time as I have had children. I shower them with love everyday, but I get them a little something to make their day more special. We didn't go overboard this year and really never do.
The girls are receiving a Valentine's card, a Valentine Pez dispenser and Pez plus a book each (this one and this one). Simple and sweet. I got Rory a card and something, but I can't share it until later since he reads here.
And we plan to get take-out or cook at home.
What are your Valentine's Day plans?
Your plans sound pretty much just like ours! The kids always get a card and something small and we just cook dinner at home. Just the way I like it!
ReplyDeleteThat is how we like it too. Simple, easy and nice.
DeleteI'm all about take out on Valentine's Day too - no cooking for this gal on a day of love :) Because I DEFINITELY dont LOVE to cook ;) haha
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day to y'all! We are grilling out at home with the boys. I got them nothing, I am so mean, hee hee. We are going to have a candlelight dinner at home Sunday night when they are with their mom.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Happy Valentine's Day to you!
ReplyDeleteI surprised my boys with donuts and a little gift of chocolate then we had a family dinner in with a special dessert and watched a few family TV shows together. Thanks for sharing with us at Encouraging Hearts and home. Pinned.
