Valentine's Day for the Whole Family

We are a little less than a month away from Valentine's Day. Now I don't know if you go big in your house for Valentine's Day, but we do not. The girls and I usually wear something festive and Rory wears red or pink in honor of the day. I usually get the girls a few little things to show them that they are my Valentine's and we make a fun dinner at home.

But we do love to dress up for each holiday, so I put together some ideas for the whole family. And yes, men don't have a big spot in here as there is not much for men when it comes to hearts, pink and flowers.

Valentine's Day for the Whole Family

Almost all of these are on sale right now. Use code YAY at Loft. The others are already discounted or automatically change in your shopping cart.

Do you dress up for Valentine's Day? Do you go out or stay in?

Happy Groundhog's Day! Let's hope for a cloudy day today, so we get an early Spring! I am so over this cold. It is only supposed to be in the 30s here today.

And can you believe that Valentine's day is less than 2 weeks away? I feel like we just celebrated Christmas. We don't have any big plans this year. V-Day is on a Monday and maybe we will cook something exciting at home. Kind of like our at home New Year's Eve.

But I do have to work that day, so I went searching for some cute things to wear to work, at home, or out for date night.

Enjoy!

Kids Valentine Pajamas

Can you believe that Valentine's Day is less than a month away? I feel like these holidays are just so crammed together. I put together part of this post while I was recovering from surgery and then finished it post recovery....meaning yesterday.

I quickly ordered pajamas for my girls and know that they can wear these year round since we LOVE all things hearts.

But if you want to grab a pair of pajamas for your little ones, these all get great reviews and are from our favorite and go-to brands.

Kids Valentine Pajamas

Heart Pajamas  I love Carter's pajamas. We have gotten them for many holidays. I always size up, so my girls can wear them for longer than a season. And yes, my girls are still wearing their Christmas pajamas.

Heart Gowns  These are just the cutest. My girls are obsessed with gown pajamas and I ordered these right away!

XO Pajamas  I buy a lot of Target pajamas and would have bought these, but they came out later than when I purchased.

Family Heart Pajamas  I love Hanna Andersson pajamas. They are amazing quality, last forever and they make the cutest prints.

XO Heart Pajamas  These are another pair of HA's. And they are so cute. They remind me of tick tac toe with a heart spin.

Love Pajamas  These Old Navy pajamas are 30% off right now and they have three different Valentine prints. This one is the LOVE print and it is so cute.

Heart and Dot Pajamas  This last pair is also a Hanna Andersson pair and they are just as cute as the others. I love these as they remind me of hearts and cookies because sprinkles!

Do you celebrate Valentine's Day? We mostly just acknowledge the day with some candy and small gifts for the girls.

Kids Valentine Gifts

Last week I asked if you guys wanted gift ideas for Valentine's Day, and I had a few people who wanted some ideas. I am only doing a few kids items, as gift ideas for men and women can be found in my Christmas gift guides (here and here).

Kids Valentine Gifts

Heart PJ Set (top and bottoms) - We order a lot of things from Primary and these pjs are so cute. Plus you can get the whole family matching pjs!

Lip Smacker Lip Balm - I have given the girls these lip balms before and they loved them. They had the watermelon flavor and used every last bit of it.

Heart Tattoos - My girls love fake tattoos and these are ones that you can share with your classmates too.

Heart Sunglasses - How cute are these sunglasses? And they are polarized too, so better for kids eyes.

Heart Joggers - This could have gone under the Valentine's Day clothes post, but my girls would rock these year round.

Heart Fluffy Pillow - My girls love pillows and all things cozy just like their mama. And this one is pretty big so it can be used for more than decoration.

As you can see, pretty much everything is hearts. I feel like it would be harder to shop for boys gifts, but some of these would work for them too.

Do you celebrate Valentine's Day? Or do you just do things for your kids?

Valentine's Day Wear

*This post contains affiliate links. When you click a link, it is no cost to you and I make a small commission (pennies) from it. Thank you for supporting Sparkles and Lattes.

I know Valentine's Day isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I still celebrate it. It is a bit different now with kids in that we focus more on them for this day than my husband and I. We have in the past gone out to dinner, but with the pandemic still going strong, I am thinking we will have a date night in. Maybe filets and lobster tails or crab legs. The possibilities are endless.

Anyways, in year's past I did gift guides, but with gift guides from Christmas so recent, I didn't know if you all want one. So do you want a Valentine's Day gift guide? Or a gift guide for kids? Or skip it this year?

I did come here today to show some Valentine's Day wear. Most of this you can wear all year long. Last year, I bought this sweater and plan on wearing it again this year.

But if I was to get another sweater, it would be this one. I love that it is a light sweater and perfect for February weather in Nevada.
Women's Heart Sweater

Shopping for boy's Valentine clothes was a bit harder, but I think these two shirts are so cute!
I Steal Hearts Shirt

Little Valentine Shirt

And while I was at Target last weekend, I saw this and soooo wanted to get it for my nephew, but he won't be born until April (or around there).
Boys Suspender Valentine's Day Outfit

And now for the little ladies. I know my girls will want both of these, but not sure which one I will chose.
Amour Sweater Dress

Girls Heart Tulle Dress

I couldn't find anything note worthy for men. It was all pjs and underwear.

Are you dressing up for Valentine's Day?

Valentine's Day Gift Guide for Women

As I said last week, I am not sure who all celebrates Valentine's Day, but I thought I would throw out a few ideas out there. I am all about gift cards, bottles of wine or just a nice dinner at home. But if I were to receive something this year, I am not opposed to jewelry or a heated blanket. Hint Hint.
Women's Valentine Gift Guide

Make up Pink Diamond Organizer I have this make up organizer, but not in the pink and it is awesome. It holds most of my make up, allows you to see everything and you can take the top part of it off.

Kendra Scott Heart Necklace in Pink Drusy Someone else posted this necklace and I loved it. I really want to buy it for myself, but I decided against it and hope that I get it for Valentine's Day or just an everyday gift.

Corkcicle Diamond Wine Tumbler I have this tumbler in a different color. They are amazing and keep your wine cold.

Pink Jade Roller I have heard great things about the jade roller, but never tried one myself. I like this one in pink.

Tieks Ballet Flats Tieks are amazing shoes. I love their ballet flats. I have one in a light pink color and wear it all the time. It has held up for years. You can fold the shoe into itself for travel. These shoes are so comfortable and cute.

Lauren Knotted Headband I haven't gotten into the headband trend, but this one might be my first purchase. I love the look of it and I can wear it to work or just everyday.

Saranoni Ballet Pink Blanket Saranoni blankets are the best. We have one at home and we all fight over who gets to use it daily. I usually share it with the girls, but I know Rory would love one of his own. Or get me a new one and he can have our old one. These are the best and they hold up to everyday use, washing and pets.

Heated Blanket I want a heated blanket for my office. It has been so cold in our office and this would make me feel so much cozier. Or I can use it on my bed for when I first crawl in. I love a warm and cozy bed.

What do you want for Valentine's Day? Are you celebrating this year?

Valentine's Day Gift Guide for Him

*This post contains affiliate links. When you click a link, it is no cost to you and I make a small commission (pennies) from it. Thank you for supporting Sparkles and Lattes.

I am not sure if you celebrate Valentine's Day with your spouse, friend, boyfriend or even your parents, but I thought I would put together a little guide of gift ideas. Around our house, we go back and forth on celebrating it. Sometimes we get each other a gift, other times we just have a nice dinner at home. It just depends on what is going on in our life and what we have planned for the year. I am not sure what we are doing this year to be honest. I will be recovering from surgery and not sure what I will be up for.

Yeti Coffee Mug The Yeti coffee mug is always a winner. I have gotten this gift for several men and they always love it.

Bose Sports Ear Buds I love most Bose items because they put off such good sound. I don't own these personally, but I have heard good things about them. When I workout, I want the wire that goes behind my head for better support and if they come off during my workout, they just go around my neck.

Dunder Mifflin Dwight Stance Socks Who doesn't love The Office? I know around my house that we love it and have seen every episode multiple times. For The Office lover in your house, these are awesome. Plus Stance socks last a long time.

Ugg Ascot Slippers This is another gift that I have given multiple times and it is always a winner. I love Ugg slippers for myself and think they are the best around. Rory, my dad, my FIL and my BIL all love these slippers.

Opove Massage Gun Now this is something that is new to me. I have seen it in my chiropractor's office, but never used one. I would love the Theragun, but with a $600 price tag, that is just too much for me. This one gets amazing reviews and is only $199. Way better priced and probably just fine.

Mens Underwear Whether it is this brand or another brand, getting a guy underwear for Valentine's Day just works. Better to get it for Valentine's Day than Christmas.

Are you celebrating Valentine's Day? What did you get for your spouse? A women's gift guide is coming on Monday.

Happy Valentine's Day

*This post contains affiliate links. When you click a link, it is no cost to you and I make a small commission (pennies) from it. Thank you for supporting Sparkles and Lattes.

I hope you have a great day today. Not just because it is Valentine's Day, but because I want you all to have a happy day. I know in the past Valentine's Day has weighed on me whether I had a significant other or not. I feel like the day has Hallmark written all over it and we should celebrate our loved ones everyday.

That sentiment has changed a bit over time as I have had children. I shower them with love everyday, but I get them a little something to make their day more special. We didn't go overboard this year and really never do.

The girls are receiving a Valentine's card, a Valentine Pez dispenser and Pez plus a book each (this one and this one). Simple and sweet. I got Rory a card and something, but I can't share it until later since he reads here.

And we plan to get take-out or cook at home.

What are your Valentine's Day plans?

TBB Asks Relationships

So I’m back and ready to catch up on all of your comments for the last week or so. Thank you for all your comments. I am ready to get back to everyday life. At least for a bit. Today is a TBB Asks post and the topic is relationships. .

1. Who is your oldest friend/how did you meet? Well other than family, that would be Brandy. We met when we were super young. Like Kindergarten. Even though we have families, busy work schedules and life that gets in the way, we try to meet up a few times a year. I wish it was more but we live about an hour apart.

2. Tell us about circle of support. Who are your people? Well my blogging community. I have made the best friends who listen to my rants, who answer my texts at all hour and are there cheering me on. Also my family. Immediate and extended. My family watches the girls, comes to all the parties, celebrations, dinners and everything in between.

3. How did you meet your partner? At work in October 2006.

4. How is Valentines Day celebrated in your home? We usually do a dinner at home now that we have kids. I usually get Valentine cards and goodies for my kids and husband and keep it simple.

5. What is your love language? I still need to take a test and really find out.

6. Do you prefer receiving flowers or chocolates? Flowers. But I have a ton of chocolates that I just brought back from Belgium so everyone is getting chocolate this time.

7. What is the most meaningful gift you have ever received or given? Wow that is hard. I did give Rory a Valentine’s gift of concert tickets to see Black Keys and a weekend getaway with it. But otherwise it would be a sentimental piece of jewelry that I have received. Like pearls for graduation from my parents or many pieces of jewelry that Rory gave me that we’re stolen when our house was broken into in 2011.

Valentine's Day Gift Guide

*This post contains affiliate links. When you click a link, it is no cost to you and I make a small commission (pennies) from it. Thank you for supporting Sparkles and Lattes.

I am changing Friday Favorites up a bit and sharing with you six Valentine's Day gift ideas. I would love to receive any of these. We don't do too much for Valentine's Day anymore. Sometimes we get a babysitter and go out either before or after (the day of is just too crazy) or we just make an amazing meal at home and have a little date night there. That is probably what we will do this year...date night at home.
Valentine's Day Gift Guide For Her

Moonlight Short Pajamas I need new pajamas more often than I would like to admit. No, I don't "go" through them a lot, but I just never buy pjs. I buy them for my kids all the time, but never for myself. These look cute, comfy and functional.

Kate Spade Glitter Heart Earrings I love everything from Kate Spade. And when I saw these heart earrings, I wanted them. Not only can you wear them on Valentine's Day, but any day. I want to scoop these up before they sell out.

Barefoot Dream Cozy Chic Blanket I love anything cozy and pretty much use a blanket all the time at home. This blanket looks sooo cozy and perfect for snuggling on the couch.

Anthropologie Monogram Tea Cup I saw this tea cup and immediately wanted it. I don't drink tea all that often at home, but it is just too cute. I love the monogram on it and would definitely use it if I had it.

Allbirds Wool Runners I have talked about Allbirds many times on my blog...and that is because I love them. I have the loungers and they are beyond comfy. You can wear them with socks or without and you can take out the sole and wash them in the washer. These shoes are comfy, cozy and seriously worth every single penny,

32 oz Hydro Flask This is the water bottle that I use when I drink water at work. It gives me 32 oz at one time, keeps the water cold and is super durable. Believe me, I have dropped it a bunch at work (hello clumsy). I love this water bottle because it keeps me accountable on how much water I am drinking. I fill it up, drink it and make sure to drink 3 to 4 of these while I am at work.

What is on your Valentine's Day Wish List?

Have a great weekend!
