Bathing Suit Season

Ugh, the dreaded bathing suit season is coming up. I work out, I try to eat relatively healthy (I do splurge) and I use self tanners (to help hide that cellulite), so one would think I wouldn't be so self conscious when it comes to bathing suit season. But I am. I think most of us are at least a bit insecure in what we see in the mirror. Though we shouldn't be.

But I have been shopping around for bathing suits since vacation is coming up and I need a new bathing suit. I used to shop at Victoria Secret for all of my bathing suits, but then they stopped making them. Now only Pink makes them and my boobs won't fit in those. Plus I have a mom bod now, so I need something a bit more forgiving.

I am sharing with you my top picks for this years bathing suit season.
Top Left (Top Bottom)  |  Top Middle (One Piece)  |  Top Right (Top Bottom)
Bottom Left (Top Bottom)  |  Bottom Middle (One Piece)  |  Bottom Right (Top Bottom)

Where do you normally shop for swim wear?

  1. I usually get my suits at target or sometimes Venus. I never thought about J.Crew before. I am currently beginning the seasons search and it is so tough especially as we get older

    1. I have gotten some from Target, but since I have a long torso, I find it hard to get a one piece. Though the one above was great. J Crew is amazing for their suits.

    1. I love that one too. It is a one piece, but still cute and modern.

  3. Love those picks! And lol'ed at "my boobs won't fit into Pink" -- I'm with you, lady! Bathing suit shopping can be scary, but I agree that we should all pick ourselves up and feel more confident.

    1. It sucks and I hate that VS stopped making them. Glad I am not the only one in this boat.

  4. Great picks. I so need a new bathing suit this year. I have needed a new one for like two years but I absolutely hate shopping for them. But I really want to go to the beach more this year so I need to get my butt in gear.

    1. I hate shopping for them too. I order a lot online and try them on there because dressing room mirrors are awful.

  5. Ugh! Yes, bathing suit time is going to be here before we know it. I love the middle bottom black one. I get mine at either Target, Belk, or JCPenney.

    1. That middle black one is from Target!!! I have never bought one from JCPenney though. I will have to take a look.

  6. I am totally self conscious about bathing suits. I wear a tankini top and a skirt type bottom that don't even really match. Maybe when I lose more weight I'll try to choose something nicer!

    1. I totally get that. I hate my butt area too and fret over the cellulite. I am very proud of your weight loss so far!!!

  7. My lord... if I had a body like these ladies, I walk around in a bathing suit all summer long... hence, why I never wear a bathing suit :) haha

  8. I wish I could still wear bikinis but old age is getting to me, despite how hard I work to eat healthy and exercise. I am a fan of Target for my suits. I used to love Victoria's secret, RIP.

    1. I fear that I should just wear one pieces, but I am going to rock the two piece until I can't anymore. IN the meantime, I will just wear both.

  9. These are all so cute! I typically wear bikinis so this post is spot on for me!

  10. Those are all so cute!!! I usually grab mine from target, though I’m all about tankinis these days. No one wants to see body in a bikini.

  11. This is a great line up of suits. My daughter and I were shopping at Target this weekend, and the brnad of suits they have called Kona Sol seems to be a higher quality than some of their other suits. My daughter found one that she loves! Thanks for linking up with Hello Monday! Tanya - The Other Side of the Road

  13. Target, J Crew and Tori Praver are my favorites! I feel like I cycle through so many since I wear them pretty much all year, but these are great picks!

  14. VS lost me as a customer once they discontinued their bathing suits - so sad! Loving your picks, especially that one piece with the mesh detailing <3

  15. These are such great options! I usually get mine from Target and have really been gravitating towards the one-pieces lately since there are so many cute ones out there.

  16. There are so many cute one pieces these days...I didn't realize that VS bathing suits were only going to be PINK when they came back. Bummer...always liked theirs. Amazon has had a ton of great ones and I'm due for a new suit!
