TBB Asks - Christmas

I am back again with another round of TBB Asks. I hope you participate in this one because it is holiday themed and who doesn't love everything CHRISTMAS?!
TBB Asks Christmas

1. Real or Fake Tree? I am all about the real trees. When I was a little, we would put up a fake tree. But as time went on, my parents started a tradition of cutting down a Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving with their friends. It is something that I still participate in and now even bring my in-laws. We make an adventure out of it. We have about 8 trucks that go out to the Pine Nuts and we all cut down our trees. We have to hike around to get the perfect one. And then we all meet back up at the trucks for some goodies. Kind of like a pot luck.

2. Favorite Christmas Cookie? Sugar cookies. They are simple, but taste sooo good. Growing up, we would decorate our cookies and pick the best ones to leave for Santa. We are starting this tradition with the girls this year as well.

3. Home on Christmas Morning or Travel? We are always home on Christmas morning.

4. Clear or Colored Lights? I love the colored lights. Preferably the multi-colored ones.

5. Send Christmas Cards? I love sending out Christmas cards. The past 5 or so years we have done photo Christmas cards, but before that, I would buy a bunch and write personal letters in each one.

6. Favorite Christmas Present Received? I would have to say my pink bike when I was about 7 years old.

7. Favorite Christmas Present Given? I honestly can't remember.

8. Stockings or no stockings? We are all about the stockings. I love all the little trinkets and things you can fit into stockings.

9. Christmas PJ's? This is one we just started. Growing up, we didn't wear Christmas pjs very much, but now I get them for my girls and started that tradition.

10. Favorite Christmas carol? I am not the Christmas carol type of person.

11. Favorite Holiday Tradition? Tie between cutting down our Christmas tree and going Christmas light looking.

12. Early Shopper or Last Minute?  I am all about the early shopping. I do most of my shopping on Cyber Monday, and then get a few items here and there after.

13. Favorite Christmas Movie or Show? A Christmas Story. I can't get enough of this movie. I watch it all day from Christmas Eve to Christmas on for the 24 hour marathon.

14. Favorite Holiday Beverage? Spiked Egg Nog. Double points if it is homemade.

15. Cookies and Milk for Santa? Yes. Last year we did cookies, milk and scotch for Santa. Ha.

  8. I love going out to look for pretty lights. We have two dancing light shows nearby too where you set your radio to a station that plays the music that the lights dance to!

  9. Ok, I so thought it was just my sister who watched A Christmas Story over and over again on Christmas Eve. haha. She loves it! I'm not crazy about it but she makes me watch it every single Christmas Eve. Yup, we actually have never been apart on Christmas Eve. I love how you all cut down your own Christmas tree, I think that is so fun. I wish I wasn't allergic to them because I think cutting your own tree down is so fun.
