Weekend Wrap Up

Is it really Monday already?  I have a seriously bad case of the Monday's.  Heck I think I even had a bad case of the weekends (how dare I?).  I think my meds (Metformin) have finally caught up to me or it was the under-done quiche Friday afternoon, but I got pretty sick Friday and Saturday.  It wasn't pretty and I will spare you from the details, but I felt so crappy (literally) all weekend.  And when I finally felt better Sunday, I had the worst attitude.  I think it has lingered into today some, but I am trying to keep positive.  At least I get to wear jeans to work ALL week.  It's the small things.

Anyways, I didn't do too much this weekend.  I mostly died cuddled up on the couch with my pup.
Isn't he the cutest?

Friday
Ate some under baked quiche (very questionable) and seafood chowder from Wine and Cheese Board.  So sad because I love(d) this place for lunch.  Ran a few errands which included buying the wrong foundation from Mac and now I must go back to exchange and manage not to buy anything else.  God help me.  I stopped for a little drink to try to ease the stomach.  It didn't help, but tasted so good.
Almond Milk Tea with Boba

Took the dude to the groomers and he came back 2 hours later unbelievably soft and smelt amazing.  Had a very yummy pre-Cinco de Mayo dinner with R (I managed to feel better for the hour we were out).  And then fell asleep on the couch at about 9:30.  No shame.

Saturday
I had a yummy breakfast sitting outside with my in-laws and it was the start to a gorgeous day which ended up being so windy and awful.  I still felt really sick, so I mostly sat on the couch watching mindless tv and wallowing in my own misery.

Sunday
I finally started feeling better, so we took advantage of the weather and went to the garden store bright and early for some gardening supplies.  Then a little brunch to fuel up for the massive planting that was going to happen.  Which it did and my back is sore today, but it was very relaxing considering I had a bad attitude.  What gives?  But we planted a fern, peonies, lavender, basil, two tomato plants, cucumbers and onions.  Now only if we can find some butter lettuce, another tomato plant (another roma or plum), parsley and snap peas, we will be in business.  And if there is anymore room, maybe something else. Suggestions?  We will have a really big garden this year and I am super excited about it.

I finally grocery shopped yesterday for the first time in weeks (due to work travel) and this is part of my root of bad attitudness.  It was insanely busy with not so nice people.  Get in their way and they will cut you or at least slam into your cart.  I often wonder if I am cut out to be a wife and mom.  But we did have a home cooked meal and a nice little evening walk with Walter.

So week please be nice to me.  At least I have a thousand appointments after work that I am looking forward too.  Facial/massage, pedicure, girls night and R's softball game.  But how will I ever manage to work-out?  I guess a run here and there will do.

And since I forgot, here is my latest and greatest nails.
Don't mind my claw of a hand.  Pinks, blacks and whites.  I am really digging the black nails look.  Anyone else?

Here's to you Monday.
