Happy Friday all! Can you believe we are in June? I can't. Today is the girls last day of first grade and I can't believe it is here. It feels like it went by so quickly, but slow at the same time. I snapped some photos this morning of them on their last day, but I will share those next week.
Anyways, onto Friday favorites and Happenings.
ONE. I got my nails done Thursday before Memorial Day weekend. I wanted to get something fun, but I had a photoshoot the next day and I didn't want it to scream Summer/Memorial Day when I needed something more muted.
I got all white almond shaped nails and I forgot how much I love the classic look. And I have been getting a ton of compliments on them. Sometimes simple is better.
TWO. I mentioned above that I had a photoshoot on Friday. Well, it was in one of my most favorites places....Lake Tahoe. I got to spend the day in Lake Tahoe modeling Christmas pjs. I got my hair done and my makeup done and touched up all day long. Seriously such a fun day. I hope to do more of these days.
Since I can't share photos of me, I thought I would share a few snaps of the day.
These two stole the show.
I can't wait to show you more, but I have to wait for the website and catalog release.
THREE. After spending Friday in Lake Tahoe, we went back up on Saturday for a Made in Tahoe festival. Basically it is clothes, art, gear, jewerly, etc., that is made in the Lake Tahoe area. They all come together at Palisades Ski Resort for Memorial Day weekend.
We have gone before and I usually pick up my favorite Tahoemade sweatshirt, but I heard they are going out of business. Not sure if that is true. But these are my favorite sweatshirts. I have three of them. The green below, purple and and a darker purple.
We always get photo on this mega chair!
FOUR. We also took the girls to their first big girl movie in the theaters. We took them to see Top Gun: Maverick. We saw it in iMax and while they loved it, it was a bit too loud for them they said. So maybe get them headphones to help with the noise. I guess regular theaters are just fine for the loudness.
This movie is rated PG-13, but there is no sex scenes, nothing violent or scary. They did say the S word quite a few times and the F word once. The theater was full of children to be honest and I felt it was totally fine for my girls to watch it. Our friend's son is 5 and he really enjoyed it.
Plus they film most of it in Lake Tahoe and Fallon, Nevada, so I recognized so many scenes.
I definitely will watch it again.
FIVE. Weekly funnies.
