Amazon Prime Purchases - January

It is time for another round of what did buy from Amazon Prime in January? Well, we didn't buy much. It was another slow month. Was it a slow month for you as well? Four items were re-purchases too.

So what did we buy this last month?

Kerastase Blond Conditioner

I bought this conditioner on Amazon before, and it was the real one, so I re-purchased it. I love this conditioner and I got it for cheaper than I get it in the salon or at Sephora.

No Poreblem Primer

This is another re-purchase. I am waiting for a review on the NYX Marshmallow Primer from another blogger, so I re-purchased this one in the meantime. I love this primer, but I wish it had more in the bottle.

Pill Splitter

I mentioned this pill splitter in a Friday favorites post and it still is a great purchase. It has a real razor blade, so it cuts the pills perfectly. As you can see from the picture, you can split it into fourths. It also comes with a brush for the pill dust and a travel container for your pills.

3 Pack Lint Roller

We finally ran out of lint roller sheets, so I had to order new ones. And I think I waited too long as I didn't order them until I had one sheet left.

Women's Tights

I needed some tights and went to Amazon to search for some. I wanted ones that would last and not rip when putting them on due to my nails. I also wanted tights and not nylons. These seem to be great. I haven't worn them yet, but I did try them on to make sure they fit. I got a medium because I am tall.

32 oz. Soup Containers

I often buy these at a local restaurant supply store, but I haven't had the chance to go into that store lately. I love these since they are large, hold a lot of soup and don't spill. I make soup and both Rory and I take them to work, so these make it more convenient.

Nespresso Vanilla Custard Pie Pods

I ran out of these recently and needed more. I love this flavor the best and often make two of them per day.

50 Pack Meal Prep and Storage Containers

This is a repurchase. I still have a few of them, but again, I use these for work for both Rory and I. I didn't want to run out, so I ordered them when I had about 5 left.

And that's it for January. What did you purchase from Amazon?

Friday Favorites and Happenings

*This post contains affiliate links. When you click a link, it is no cost to you and I make a small commission (pennies) from it. Thank you for supporting Sparkles and Lattes.

Happy Friday all! We are at the end of January and I feel like this month flew by. We had a lot going on each weekend. I feel like I will blink and we will be into the Summer. Or maybe I am just wishing for warmer weather again.

Anyways, onto Friday favorites and Happenings.

ONE. Last weekend when I was in Colorado, I bought the prettiest boots. We were shopping in Beaver Creek and went into an expensive Winter store. I immediately saw this boots and the price tag and walked away. We were looking at everything in the store and just admiring it all.

One of the people we were with wanted to try on some shoes, so we all waited with him. But this meant, I had to keep seeing the boots. So I figured I would try them on for fun. And so I did and I feel in love with them. They are so comfy, cozy and cute. Plus they are Sorel's, so you know they last FOREVER.

So I bought them. And when I showed them to friends back at the hotel, they wanted them and said that even though they are pricey, they will last forever.

Oh and now they are on sale on Sorel's website.

Joan of Artic Wedge Boots

TWO. I saw someone post this Dyson Airwrap dupe and I want to know if any of you have used it. It has great reviews (99 5 Star Reviews) and it is so much cheaper than the Dyson. I really want the Dyson, but I am not paying that much.

I know there is a learning curve with these, so I feel better about this cost rather than the Dyson. But I also worry about ruining my hair if it is a cheap dupe.

So have you used it? Thoughts?

THREE. I mentioned in my What's Up Wednesday post that I was making shirts for the girls 100th day of school. Well on Wednesday night, we added the jewels to their shirts and now they are complete. They are wearing them to school this morning.

I got everything to make these shirts at Hobby Lobby. I got the shirts, the fabric glue, the puff paint and the jewels there.

They turned out so cute.

FOUR. I went to Trader Joes this week and I found a few festive Valentine's treats. I got the X & O Gummies and the Dark Chocolate Mini Heart Cookies.

The X & O Gummies are really good. They are shaped like X's, O's in red, pink and white/clear. They are very tasty, but I still think the Scandinavian Gummies are the best.

Did you try the Dark Chocolate Mint Christmas Stars? Well the hearts are very similar, but no mint to them. They are really good. I actually like these a bit more, but I think Rory will say he likes the mint ones more as he loves all things mint.

FIVE. Weekly funnies.

Have a great weekend. I am linking up with A Little Bit of Everything.

What's Up Wednesday (January 2022)

*This post contains affiliate links. When you click a link, it is no cost to you and I make a small commission (pennies) from it. Thank you for supporting Sparkles and Lattes.

I have not participated in a monthly What's Up Wednesday post since June 2021. That is a long time. I am not sure why I got away from it, but I did. And since it has been forever since I gave an update on really anything, I thought I would participate in this month's.

Anyways, onto this month's What's Up Wednesday...What's Up Wednesday
WHAT WE ARE EATING THIS WEEK...
Sunday: Rory and I went to dinner since we had just landed from our weekend in Colorado. The girls ate with my in-laws.
Monday: Spicy Tomato Cream Pasta with Pancetta and Bread
Tuesday: Korean Beef Bowls with Brown Rice
Wednesday: Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup
Thursday: Unknown since I have a nail appointment.
Friday: Unknown
Saturday: Unknown, but I am sure I will cook something.

WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT... Our time in Colorado last weekend. We had the best time. We went there for Rory's Western Region company party and had the best time. We were with some of our closest friends and thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away.

WHAT I'M LOVING... I am really loving my Varley Vine Sweater. I got mine in a small in the dusty rose color and have worn it about 4 times now. I even more it in Colorado. It is so comfy, cute and can be dressed up with jeans or dressed down with leggings.
Varley Vine Pullover

I haven't been shopping much lately, but I do wear these a lot which I bought in November and December. They are currently $12.48 each. Such a steal! I wear a size small.

WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO... Well, we rung in the New Year at home. We had a delicious King Crab dinner, followed by an early celebration and photoshoot with the girls. Then we ran in the new year in our pjs and actually stayed up until midnight.

We went to our friend's 50th birthday party and while I was there, I scoped out a wedding location for a family friend.

We had dinner over at my cousins house and we all played with their Oculus.

We celebrated the girls 7th birthday at a trampoline park and had the most beautiful ballerina cake.

We went to Beaver Creek and Vail, Colorado for a holiday party, which I will be recapping on its own.

We watched a lot of football including the Niners beating the Packers and hopefully beating the Rams this weekend.

WHAT I'M DREADING... Nothing really. Other than maybe a Niners loss.

WHAT I'M WORKING ON...Work stuff. Trying to get ahead on my blogging game. Making more Instagram posts. I have just not been motivated to write lately and I need to change that.

WHAT I'M EXCITED ABOUT... hopefully a Niner's Super Bowl. Ha. And the start of warmer weather.

WHAT I'M WATCHING/READING... I am currently reading The Therapist by B.A. Paris. I am only 5 chapters in, but so far it is good. I just finished Pretty Little Wife by Darby Kane which I will have a review coming up soon.

As for tv, I have been watching Million Dollar Listing LA, Ozark season 4, Goliath, Grey's Anatomy, Pivoting (a new show), Yellowjackets, This is Us, And Just Like That, and a few others.

WHAT I'M LISTENING TO... XM/Sirius radio. I wrote this while in the office.

WHAT I'M WEARING... Gosh, I feel like I have been pretty boring with what I have been wearing. I am wearing my Varley sweater that I posted above in What I'm Loving. I have also been wearing these jeans from American Eagle a lot on the weekends. I can dress them up and down. Super cute and I want another pair. Maybe this time without the holes. Also, mine don't have this many holes as the ones below.
A&E Forever Soft Ripped Jeans

Here are the ones I am eyeing.
AE Next Level Jegging

Also, I didn't know this, but black jeans tend to run smaller, so ordered a size up. I ordered a 2L which is what I normally wear, but wish I had gotten the 4L.

WHAT I'M DOING THIS WEEKEND...We don't have many plans this weekend. Friday is nothing that I can remember. Saturday the girls are going roller skating with their grandparents and then we don't have much planned. Sunday we are going to a friend's house to watch the Niners game after the girls horseback riding lesson.

I am welcoming an easy weekend as our next few weekends are busy.

WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH... Super Bowl, my sister's birthday, hopefully a date night and I am getting longer extensions again.

WHAT ELSE IS NEW... I have something I want to share, but I just haven't felt right about it. Some of you know as I reached out to a few people, but otherwise I have kept some things secret. Mostly because life has been rough in 2021 and I am hoping this year is way better.

I know, why post if you are not going to say anything, but I am still struggling if I should post it or not.

Also, the girls are celebrating their 100th day of school on Friday and here is their shirts that we are working on. We still have some jewels to add to it, but since I wasn't able to order them a shirt, we made one.

Kids Valentine's Day Clothes

*This post contains affiliate links. When you click a link, it is no cost to you and I make a small commission (pennies) from it. Thank you for supporting Sparkles and Lattes.

I think my favorite thing about Valentine's Day is the clothes. I love wearing pink, hearts and red clothes. I think I also tend to buy my girls things in these colors year round since I love them so much. I was looking around for some Valentine's Day attire for my girls and my nephew and I thought I would share my finds. I seriously want all of this for my girls and nephew.

Kids Valentine's Day Clothes

Heart Cardigan  How sweet is this cardigan? Perfect for short sleeve dresses/shirts under it.

Dinosaur Train Shirt  I thought this was such a perfect shirt for any dinosaur lover.

Love Patrol Shirt  This shirt is cute and perfect for fire truck lovers.

Heart Leggings  I love Carter's leggings. My girls wear them almost daily. They are long enough for them and fit them very well. And who doesn't love heart leggings!?

Red Heart Pocket Outfit  This outfit is so cute. It is a great outfit for year round, but adds that little Valentine pop.

Heart Sweatshirt  I wanted to get this sweatshirt and pants for the girls, but they sold out in their size. How cute is the whole outfit?

Heart Chambray Dress  I love this dress. The girls have a few dresses like this but none of them with the Valentine theme.

Pink Heart Tulle Dress  This is a Hanna Andersson dress which means they are pricey, but they are worth it. They last forever, wash so well and are so cute. Plus the top is so cozy for the Winter.

Red Heart Legging  Another pair of Carter's leggings with little hearts on it this time.

Love Baby Outfit  This outfit is so cute for both boys and girls. And the pants look so comfy!

Fleece Heart Pants  These are the matching joggers to the sweatshirt above it. Seriously think this is the cutest outfit.

Pizza Shirt  Who doesn't love pizza? It is definitely the key to my heart!

Steal Heart Shirt  This shirt is simple, but perfect for the boy who wants to wear something for Valentine's Day, but nothing too girly.

Heart Dress  This dress matches the pajamas I posted about last week. This dress is a button down and is so cute!

Pink Tulle Dress  My girls have this dress in this light pink and the darker pink. They love it and wear it weekly. They wore it to their birthday party recently.

Love Body Suits  I love H&M bodysuits for my kids. They wore these all the time when they were little. And this three pack is very cute.

Will you be dressing your kids up for Valentine's Day?
