I had another post planned for today, but I just couldn't post it. My heart breaks for the community of Uvalde, Texas. As you all know, I have two elementary school aged girls and I can't even fathom this happening at their school. I never want to and I hope I never have to.
I was in high school when Columbine happened and that forever changed the way I felt about safety in schools. And now that my girls are in school, I am more fearful by the day about safety in schools. Something has to change. We can't keep going on like this. We can't lose anymore children this way.
So hug your babies tight today and every day.
See you back here on Friday.
When is it going to stop? No children should have to live with this kind of fear let alone the parents.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree.
DeleteThe weird thing is I don't remember Columbine happening. I think I was out of the country at the time. But I do remember Sandy Hook and Zachary being the same age as those kids. I hate hearing about these things so much.
ReplyDeleteI definitely remember Sandy Hook too. How old were you when Columbine happened? I hate hearing about these shootings too. So awful.
DeleteYou're right, it's very tragic. My heart goes out to those affected.
ReplyDeleteMine does too.
DeleteHugs. Love you friend. Regine

Thank you!
DeleteI feel so much the same, my friend. It breaks my heart, and it definitely reminded me how blessed I am to be in a country where guns aren't available to the public. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteI wish they were more controlled here. I hate that we and our kids have to have this so in our face. It is just awful.
