Happy Friday all! The girls survived their first week back to school. I still can't believe I have first graders. And I can't believe how short our Summer break was. I always got out the first week of June and went back the last week of August.
We have had a fun filled last week and since I didn't do a weekend update, I thought I would share some of my favorites here. Plus some extras.
ONE. Last Thursday we celebrated the grand opening for Rory's new office. Yes, he is still with Bay Equity, but they moved offices and had a big grand opening party. The first part was to show off their new offices and then we went across the street for an Aces (our triple A baseball team) game that was catered with food and drinks. We had a blast. It was adults only, and after everything was done, we headed over to the casinos (no I did not gamble, but I watched) to hang out with some of the people from out of town.
TWO. Last Saturday evening we celebrated mine and my dads birthdays with a birthday dinner to a tempanyaki place. It was sooo good. Rory and I haven't been in years, so it was a treat. And the girls really enjoyed it. The girls have been once before, but they were tiny. This time they were fully able to enjoy it. And they told me it was the best dinner they have had ever and want to go back to the casino. Ha.
And I got to have my leftovers on Monday and it was just as amazing!
THREE. Sunday morning was the girls last day of golf lessons. They will start the First Tee program again in the Spring time once they are 7. They are definitely ready to move up to the next level and that one is a two hour class.
Rory captured a photo of the girls and their instructors after their last lesson!
FOUR. Then later on Sunday, we had a playdate with the girls twin friends. These two sets of twins have been friends since birth. No really. These two sets of twins are born exactly one week apart and we have all become friends. The girls went to daycare together and have remained close. Due to covid, we haven't seen them in over a year and they picked up right where they left off. It was like no time had passed.
FIVE. Weekly funnies.
Have a great weekend. I am linking up with A Little Bit of Everything.
I love that the girls are taking golf lessons! Your dinner at the Japanese place looks so yummy and fun! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteMe too. I hope they enjoy it and get better each lesson! The food was sooo good!
DeleteLooks like a fun week!
ReplyDeleteIt was a good time. Busy but good.
DeleteLOL - that last meme. HE NEEDS HIS GLASSES ... SOB
ReplyDeleteI want golf lessons myself. I really want to learn to play!
I always get entranced watching them make food in front of me like that at a Japanese restaurant.
I know right? I loved that movie so much. I take golf lessons too, but my girls do it more consistently. I need to do it more often. I agree, I love watching them cook in front of us too. Have a great weekend!
DeleteThat is so cool that the girls are taking golf lessons! B has been taking our kiddos to play, too, and they both love it so much that I think lessons may be in their future as well!
ReplyDeleteLessons are so great for them. They have learned a ton. Rory gives me them pointers, but the lessons have really helped. Now I need to do lessons more often as well.
DeleteYour birthday dinner looks delicious! Love that the girls are doing so good with golf. I hope you all have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteIt was delicious. The girls love golf a lot and I hope it stays that way. Have a great weekend as well!
DeleteHAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY sweet friend! Hibachi is always a great idea! And so glad the girls had a great first week at school. I feel like the kiddos go back to school earlier and earlier each year. I also used to get out in June, and go back the last week of August or after Labor Day.

DeleteI’m hungry now friend. I want hibachi now. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteIt was really good. I would love to have it again!
DeleteWhat a fun dinner out! We haven't been to a teppanyaki place in ages since our nearest one burned down a few years ago and the others closed...
ReplyDeleteOh wow. We only have one left and it was closed for awhile due to the pandemic.
