I haven't participated in a What's Up Wednesday since October. I have been behind or had other posts that I wanted to post. But I decided to participate this month since I haven't done many life updates.
WHAT WE ARE EATING THIS WEEK...
Sunday: Grilled Cheese and salad.
Monday: Take-out.
Tuesday: Take Out Fake Out Szechuan Noodles
Wednesday: Tri tip with steamed artichokes
Thursday: Steak Sandwiches with fries or a salad (using our leftover tri tip)
Friday: Unsure
Saturday: Unsure
WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT... The last year. Can you believe we are about two weeks away from the pandemic one year anniversary? That means I have been working from home for almost a year now. We thought this would last two maybe four weeks and here we are. So many things have changed.
WHAT I'M LOVING... I know I have only been using this neck serum for a week and a half, but I am already seeing results. I can't wait to show you the month update. I know it is pricey, but my esthetician (who Rory bought it through) says it lasts forever. His wife has been using it for 4 months and she has a ton left.
WHAT I'M WATCHING/READING... I am currently reading One Little Secret.
As for tv shows, I have been watching This is Us and Riverdale. And then we have been binging Animal Kingdom on Prime. This show is sooo good. It is crazy with some sex, violence and drug usage, but so dang good. We can't stop watching it. So far there is 4 seasons out and another coming out soon. We are on season 4 and my good friend, Grant Harvey is in it. So cool to see a friend making it big in Hollywood.
WHAT I'M LISTENING TO... Nothing.
WHAT I'M WEARING... I mentioned that I bought a pair of American Eagle Jegging Joggers a few weeks back. When I got them in, I was early into my post surgery. The first time I wore them, it was a bit painful since they are high waisted, but I have worn them since and they are amazing. I didn't think they would fit me post surgery until the swelling went down, but they are stretchy and fit amazingly.
WHAT I'M DOING THIS WEEKEND... Well we have our couch being looked at. When they delivered our sofa bed, we noticed and they did too, that there is a stain behind one of the cushions at the top. It looks to be 3 pen marks, but they are having someone come over to clean it.
WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH... March brings Mexico, Rory's birthday, my sister's baby shower and lots of fun stuff. Plus we are hoping for some better weather and more outdoor time.
WHAT ELSE IS NEW... Nothing much.

I am also loving my gallon water bottle. Yes it is ridiculous, but it is the only way I get enough water during the day. I get a ton of compliments on it at the gym and everyone always asks about it. Even my doctor (yes I brought it into the doctors office) asked me where I got mine so she could get one.
WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO.. We haven't done that much this month. I have been recovering from surgery which has taken longer than we expected.
Rory did take the girls and Walter on a long walk.
We made waffles using our new Dash Mini Waffle Maker.
I got my hair colored and my extensions moved up.
The girls and I made them shirts to celebrate 100 days of school and Valentine's Day.
We went out for date night and an early Valentine's Day.
WHAT I'M DREADING... I am not really dreading anything. Maybe taking a covid test to get back into the US.
WHAT I'M WORKING ON... Just work, blogging and planning for Mexico.
WHAT I'M WORKING ON... Just work, blogging and planning for Mexico.
WHAT I'M EXCITED ABOUT... Going to Mexico. Fingers crossed this happens. I have been researching about getting back into the US, about what it is like in Mexico, any restrictions there, extra precautions we need to take, etc. I have been on Tripadvisor daily.
WHAT I'M WATCHING/READING... I am currently reading One Little Secret.

I am also loving Firefly and Behind Her Eyes on Netflix.

They are soft, hold up after every wash, are comfy, and fit your body even when you are bloated/swollen. I love the zip up ankle and the tie waist, but they still have a zipper and button up at the top. Overall, these will be worn a lot. I am already on the waitlist for a pair in black. Go with your true American Eagle size. When you pull them out of the package, they look small, but they will fit. Trust me.
Other than that, I am just wearing leggings, sweatshirts and the occasional jeans. Yes, jeans are more comfy right now than leggings. My leggings are all high waisted, so my joggers (Zella) and my American Eagle jeans are what I have been tending to wear more of.
Other than that, we are relaxing, getting outside and maybe seeing family.

I need that water bottle!! That is so nice!! We looooovvveee our Dash waffle maker!! We have the mini and the regular size, but I’m in need of the heart one...It’s so cute!! I love your girl’s shirts!! Have a great day!!
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing. I love it. It is the only way that I get enough water in the day. I think I need the regular sized waffle maker too. And thank you!!!
DeleteIt is hard to believe it's been almost a year... although if I'm being honest it seems longer. I'm hoping we are turning a corner. I hope that Mexico works out for you. :)
ReplyDeleteIt does seem longer. Especially right now as we approach the year mark. I agree. I hope things can start to get better! Fingers crossed for Mexico.
DeleteYay date night! You looked beautiful! I just love my little mini waffle maker! We make that Szechuan noodle recipe all the time and just love it! Have a wonderful Wednesday sweetheart!
ReplyDeleteThank you. You are so sweet. The mini waffle maker is amazing. My girls love it. I am having those leftovers today!!!
DeleteThe neck cream sounds so good! Cant wait to see your progress photos! Love that the girls wore cowboy boots on their walk :) xo, Biana BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteIt is sooo good. So far I love it. My girls love their cowboy boots. They wear them daily it seems!
DeleteI hope you get to go to Mexico this year. I really want to go to Hawaii but there are restrictions with testing that I'm not sure how they work!
ReplyDeleteI hope so too. And I am trying to check everything out to make sure we are cautious and safe. We have cancelled it twice already, so fingers crossed this one works out. Oh the Hawaii ones are difficult still. You have to quarantine at your hotel for a bit before you can go out. And I think you need a negative covid test to go there. We are trying to plan for Hawaii for Christmas with Rory's family, but not if the current restrictions are still in place.
DeleteThose AE joggers are SO cute!! I love them! And you're going to totally convince me to get that neck cream! I just wish it wasn't so expensive!
ReplyDeleteThey are the best. And on sale right now too. I always wait for sales. Ha. The neck serum is expensive, but if you wait for one of Sephora's sales, you can get it there. But it is worth it for sure!
DeleteI think I might need to invest in those high waisted joggers! They are so cute!
ReplyDeleteThey are amazing and so soft. And on sale right now.
DeleteI'm in the same boat as you with work. Are you enjoying working from home or are you looking forward to going back into the office? Also, I have a similar water bottle that I love! I'd never get in all my water otherwise. I'm curious how your Mexico trip goes because we're also planning to go in the near future. Best of luck!
ReplyDeleteI go back and forth. I love working from home and having more freedom, but I miss interacting with everyone. I miss my work friends. Ugh. It is tough. I will definitely post on traveling during a pandemic and how things were. If we get to go.
DeleteFirst of all you looked FABULOUS on Valentines Day! Love that water bottle, and hope you continue to recover from your procedure <3
ReplyDeleteGreen Fashionista
Thank you so much! The water bottle has been so good for my water intake.
DeleteKeeping my fingers crossed for you and your trip to Mexico!!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I so hope we can go, but if not, then we will try when it is safer.
DeleteOk, I have to make those fake out take out noodles. Looks delish! I am crossing finger and toes that you get to Mexico, and get back! Wishing you a continued speedy recovery!
ReplyDeleteThey are so good. I had leftovers for lunch today and they were just as good. I hope so too. We just want sunshine and to get out. It would be good for our soul. And thank you on the well wishes!
DeleteLove those joggers!!! Tonights dinner for us is Publix deli chicken. Its my husbands birthday and he wanted simple LOL... cupcakes to follow ;)
ReplyDeleteOh that sounds good. I like simple ideas. I wish we had a Publix here.
DeleteGlad to hear the good reviews about the neck cream -- I might bite the bullet! I've been reminiscing about the past year a lot lately, too. It's just wild how much has changed.
ReplyDeleteI say do it. I think with Sephora you can try it and if you don't like it you can return it within 30 days. I might be wrong though. It is worth it. It is so crazy how things have changed.
DeleteYou have me curious about that cream. Can't wait to see your results!!
ReplyDeleteIt is sooo good. So far. No complaints, but I will review at a month.
DeleteThe neck cream sounds good and I love that mini waffle maker.

You are very welcome. And thank you. They loved making those shirts.
DeleteLove your dinner date outfit! So pretty! I keep going back and forth as to whether I need one of those huge water bottles. I used to do so good at water consumption when I was in the office, but it is harder to get it in from home for some reason. And I also drink a lot more coffee at home. Hehe!
ReplyDeleteThank you. It is classic and fun! I drink way more coffee at home too. But the water bottle is cheap and has totally helped me.
DeleteI want that water bottle!!! And I'm so envious you're going to Mexico! I want to travel!!!
ReplyDeleteThe water bottle is awesome. I use it everyday. I hope we can travel. It will be our first time in over a year.
