Here are some before photos.
Yes my husband used to have a squatty potty.
And I took these photos one evening when I was cooking dinner.
Anyways, our contractor and his workers demoed the bathroom in a very short time. And then they added in a pony wall and some other framing work that needed to be done. They also moved the shower head and knob up higher since Rory is a tall guy. This was all done in one day.
Next, they did some dry wall work, a bit of painting (which now has to be partially redone since an area of drywall needs to be redone) and then started the shower system.
Now my shower system is done with mud backing. Rory's bathroom has the newer Schluter System. this makes it so he has more room in his shower and it is a more modern backing. Don't worry, they did leak tests and this has a life time guarantee.
Schluter System installed
Behind that cardboard is Rory's new vanity.
And that is where we are at right now (well when I wrote this. They were tiling at the end of last week.).
Eek, soooo excited for you and to see the completion.
ReplyDeleteMe too friend. This has been a process and I am sooo over it.
DeleteWow! What a change that will be! I can not wait to see the end product!
ReplyDeleteIt is going to be a huge change. I can't wait for it to all be done.
DeleteIt's great to see progress in a home project. I can't wait to see the finished project! Thanks for linking up with Hello Monday! Tanya - The Other Side of the Road
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see the finished product either. It feels like it has taken forever to get through! Only 2 or so more weeks.
DeleteAmazing! I always say a tiny master bathroom is better than no master bathroom at all! Can't wait to see the finished product <3
ReplyDeleteGreen Fashionista
That is sooo true. Good way of looking at the positives here.
DeleteOhhh I can't wait to see more!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for it to all be done. Ha. It feels like it is taking forever to complete.
DeleteWe were discussing renovating our master bathroom. It's so old looking with ugly tile and I hate the shower door - looks a bit like yours did!
ReplyDeletehaha. Mine did look awful. It was time, but it is a process and not a fun one. Let me know if you guys renovate.
DeleteI can't wait to see how it turns out! You definitely deserved an upgrade!
ReplyDeleteI feel like it was a long time coming!!
DeleteEEK!! I'm so ready to see it all finished!!
ReplyDeleteMe too. It has been a process for sure.
DeleteAll the anxiety... This is why I can never renovate. I want things done at the snap of a finger please :) LOL
ReplyDeleteYep me too and it has been a process. A long process and I vent a lot. Ha. I don't ever want to do this again. At least a project this big.
DeleteLove seeing the progress and can't wait to see more! Our bathrooms are so small in our home too; wish that weren't the case.
ReplyDeleteI wish my bathrooms and my closets were bigger too.
DeleteSo exciting!! I can't wait to see both of these rooms all finished (and I bet you can't either).
ReplyDeleteI can't wait. And I can't wait for the floors and lighting and closets to be done as well. Hopefully by the end of January!
DeleteIt's all coming together - woo hoo! xo, Biana
