Hall Bathroom Renovation Update

We have had a lot of progress since my first hall bathroom renovation post. It is actually done except for the glass enclosure for the shower/bath. That had to be templated and hand cut, so it won't be in for another week. In the meantime, we have a temporary shower curtain. I am saving the reveal and last weeks progress for another post when we have the glass enclosure in.

Last week, our contractors started the master bathroom demo and the shower prep. Yep, they worked Christmas week which meant the days that we took off, were spent at my in-laws house (other than Christmas).

Anyways, let's take a look at the hall bathroom progress.

That carpet is going away very soon!

My custom cabinets are hidden under there.

They started tiling! We had a bit of a mishap with the floor tile. The tile guys put Rory's shower bath tile on my floor. The names on the boxes were STMI Grey and STMA Grey. Since they were so close, they didn't realized they grabbed the wrong ones. They were able to fix it and not get too far behind.

Tiling and grout are done. Now to finish plumbing, the mirror, lights, painting, counter top install, sink install and accessories.

The cabinets, but they haven't been leveled out nor has the hardware been put on.

I had a hard time choosing the light sconces for my bathroom. What I really were sconces that ran $400 to $500 each and I needed two. It didn't seem practical for a house that isn't a mansion. So I chose some that were about $140 each including taxes.

Have you ever renovated any parts of your home?

  1. Love seeing the progress, girl! The color of the cabinets is gorgeous, and I totally think you made a wise choice with the scones. Yikes! I had no idea scones alone could cost that!!!!

  2. Great progress! It's going to be such a clean, sleek and classy place when you are done. We haven't ever done any renovations (other than just changing paint color here and there) because we built our house-- not that there aren't things I'd love to change but there's still a lot I feel like we haven't finished so we can't start over yet.

    1. I would have loved to build our house from the ground up too, but we didn't go that route when we bought our house. I do love picking out parts of the renovation and seeing how it comes together.

  6. Girl, it's looking great! I feel like renos are always a mixed bag - super exciting and super tedious. You have a great attitude about things though, and I really can't wait to see the finished product!

  10. Dear Danielle, nice share. I like the hall bathroom renovation update. Specifically the Progressive lighting system that you've used.

I've been using this similar lighting system in my bathroom. These sconce lights were the crowning touch in my remodeled bathroom. They are beautiful and put out great light. I have them on a dimmer switch which is great for having some light on when company is over. I highly recommend these fixtures.
