September flew by. I just feel like we were super busy this month. Between football games and travel, we had a lot going on. I am excited about October because that brings Halloween and the start of all things Fall!!!

What's Up Wednesday

Sunday: We had family over for dinner and made Pasta Bolognese with Caprese Salad (using Burrata)

Monday: Homemade pizza night

Tuesday: BLTA's with saute'd Brussels Sprouts

Wednesday: I have surgery, so whatever Rory and the girls bring me home after swim class.

Thursday: Recovery, so take out.

Friday: Recovery, so take out.

Saturday: Tailgate food! Hoping I can go to the tailgate and game.

WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT... Vacation. I seriously can't wait until we go to Mexico again. Ha. I feel like I could just use a break and Mexico is just soooo much fun. We don't go until March and the girls get to go this time, but we are less than 6 months out!

WHAT I'M LOVING... Other than the holidays coming, I am loving how much my girls are progressing in school, dance and swim. It is so crazy to watch them grow into little people.

WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO... Working, going to football games, taking the girls to ballet and swim, prepping for the holidays and traveling a bit. Mostly Rory has been traveling, but I had a small trip in there.

WHAT I'M DREADING... Nothing really. Ok, maybe bad test results, but let's pray that I get some good test results.

WHAT I'M WORKING ON... Same old, same old. Trying to get ahead on blog posts. I am also working on decorating for the holidays and maybe planning a home renovation. We shall see.

WHAT I'M EXCITED ABOUT... Hopefully today is my last nose surgery. That is more than enough reason to celebrate. And let's hope it goes well today. Send positive thoughts.

I am also excited about everything to come in October, November and December. I love the holidays and I have some good work travel coming up!

WHAT I'M WATCHING/READING... Well, I have been slacking a little on the reading front. I read Marriage Lie and Girls Like Us this last month. I need to read more this next month and just not be so dang stressed. I chose tv over reading when I am stressed out.

As for TV, I am sooo happy that all my Fall favorites are back this week...This is Us, Modern Family, Grey's Anatomy, etc. I am still watching The Affair (though it isn't as good as previous seasons), Million Dollar Listing New York and Sneaky Pete. I need a new show to binge at the gym though. Suggestions?

WHAT I'M WEARING... I got my LL Bean Flannel in the mail and it is soooo soft and fits perfectly. I can't wait to wear it all Fall.

I have worn this jacket once and I am always checking out the weather to see when it will cool down and I can wear this baby more often. This weekend it is supposed to be chillier weather, so I hope I can break it out again.

I am constantly wearing my Converse Shorelines. I have them in white and black and wear them everywhere on the weekends and evenings. I always wear them to football games. They are super comfy. Not like normal Converse shoes. If you don't own a pair, grab one. You won't regret it.

WHAT I'M DOING THIS WEEKEND... Well I am recovering from my third nose surgery and hopefully going to the football game. I don't think I will stay the whole game since it is a 7:30 pm start and I don't think I can stay up that late a few days after surgery. Fingers crossed I feel ok to even go to the game. Other than that, I will just be resting and relaxing.

WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH... I love October. We go to Apple Hill, are knee deep in football, everything Halloween, Nevada Day and I have a work/fun trip to the Dallas, Texas area. October should be a great month!

WHAT ELSE IS NEW...So I got my blood test results back and there are still some abnormalities showing up, so they ordered another more complex test along with a 24 hour urine test. Yes, I have a huge jug that I have to fill. I start in the morning and end the next morning. Oh and I have to keep the urine cold, so if I have to pee in the middle of the night, I have to go get my jug, pee into a bowl (that they provide) and put it in my jug and take it back to the fridge. And I am not putting it in my regular fridge, so I have to go to the garage. Ugh. So not fun. Fingers crossed they figure out what is wrong and fix it or that there is nothing wrong and just some wonky results.

  1. I am sorry to hear about your results and needing to do extra testing. Hopefully it will all come back ok. I am excited for fall shows to start back too! We watched The Resident last night, I really like that show. It is in it's 3rd Season.

  2. Cute plaid! What a hassle with all the pee, but I am praying for good results and also praying for no more no surgeries!

  3. I had to do that pee collection thing awhile back. I hope the results come back ok. And good luck with the surgery!

  4. Totally praying for that good news!!!
I just need to go ahead & splurge & get me some of those converse. The thing is, I think I'm going to want every color :)
I love seeing your girls grow into little people too!!! Love seeing them adventure into new things. I need a new dance picture speaking of such!

  5. So sorry to hear about your test results, sending lots of hugs! You've inspired me to make homemade pizza again - it's been way too long!

  6. Sending positive thoughts about the test results and no more surgeries! So happy the girls are doing so well in school, dance and swim!!

  7. Thinking of you today! I hope everything is going well!

  8. Sorry to hear that things aren't going great with your health; that's so hard when they aren't sure what exactly is wrong. I hope you get great results!

  9. I pray your surgery went well. My friend had to do the 24 hour urine collection but she didn't have an extra fridge to store it in. She said other than that, it wasn't too bad.

  10. Fingers crossed you get to the game and that the pee test comes out alright!

  11. Hope your surgery went well! And that you get some better results from these extra tests!
