Confessional Thursday

It's Thursday which means it's time for another round of confessions. How did Thursday get here so quickly?

Anyways, if you want to participate (which I hope you do), then grab the button, write your confessions and come back to link up below.

I CONFESS...

/ that I took my dear husband out to a nice steak dinner last night. I had a lot of per diem left over from my Europe trip and thought it would be nice to treat him....and myself. I just can't get enough of this steakhouse!

/ that I went a little crazy on the shopping this week. I bought stuff at the Loft sale, stuff at Nordstrom, new foundation and a Carly dress from LuLaRoe. My bank account is mad at me.

/ that I ran for 25 minutes straight without walking in between and it felt great. I took two weeks off from running and then added it back in gradually due to shin splints. Not only did I run for that long, but I didn't have any shin splints. I am hoping to work myself back up to where I was prior to feeling the shin splints.

/ that I need to join a spin class again. I heard the one at my gym is ok and the music is just ok, so I haven't pulled the trigger. I wish I could go back to my old gym in Reno and do that one again. But we have to wait until the girls are older to restart that gym. I feel like I am counting down the months until then.

/ that I am scared for my friend Stacey. She goes into her second surgery in a short time and had another one in a month. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

/ that I am super excited about our home game this weekend. Our team looks like garbage lately. Hello loss to Notre Dame, Purdue and Hawaii. But I missed the last home game when I was in Europe. Bring on the tailgate and hopefully a win against Fresno State.

/ that I am torn on getting a new car and keeping my old one. I finally got my car back after they put a new motor in it and I am still working out a few kinks in it (releasing the air in the power steering system). I told myself that I would drive it at least 1,000 miles to break the new engine in and then decide. While I loved the brand new Subaru that I was driving, I did miss some of my features in my current one. Decisions, decisions.

/ that I am a little jealous of my husband's iPhone 7. I always want the latest and greatest, but I need to wait until next year when they release the anniversary iPhone. Only one more year.

/ that I can't believe in a few short months, my girls will be 2. Where has the time gone? I am starting to think about birthday and Christmas gifts and I already have a great list for them.

And that is it for my confessions this week. If I keep going, I will have at least 20 more. I have had a lot on my mind recently. Don't worry, it is mostly good stuff.

  1. Yay for a yummy dinner out with your hubby! That's always so nice. I can't believe how close our girls are to turning 2. Emmy already tells me that she's 2. Girl already wants to grow up on her momma. I'm not okay with it.

  4. Good job on the running! It's always so hard to start working out when you've had a little time off. Sometimes I keep working out just because I don't want to deal with the pain of starting back up again haha.

    1. I definitely agree. I was working out, but just not running. Though when I started running after taking 2 years off, it was brutal.

  5. The only thing better than a nice steak dinner is a nice steak dinner paid for by someone else ;-) And so glad you are able to get back to running-I haven't at all lately and am missing it like crazy. So hard to fit in things like that when you're a mom!

    1. Haha. I would love if mine was paid for too. Well it sort of was! I love running, but shin splints are the worst. So glad they haven't come back.

  6. Praying for your friend.
YIPEE on the running. That always feels like an accomplishment when you can keep going with no stops.
I'm going to my first luluroe party next week. My bank account will be mad at me too

  7. Yay on running I too am trying to get back into it. I have never liked spin class, just never felt like it was a good workout for me. Right now I need a massage and some yoga.

  12. Good job running! I am no runner ---at all, so that is so impressive to me! Please review the Carly dress; I'm dying to see how they are as I have been wanting one but am unsure of the sizing. Two will be such a fun age! Bradley will be 2 in January, so the Christmas/bday overload is quite a bit! Happy Thursday!
