WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT...
Each holiday season that we have experienced with the girls. Love this time of year and how we get to share it with the girls now.
WHAT I'M LOVING...
The holidays. I am so excited that they are here. I am even more excited to see how it will all play out this year.
WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO...
Working and trying to get my cases done before the holidays. I have started Christmas shopping, decorating and getting the house all festive and cozy.
WHAT I'M DREADING...
Nothing. Ok maybe last minute shopping in actual stores. I love to buy everything online.
WHAT I'M WORKING ON...
My Christmas shopping lists for Monday. Cyber Monday where I do 85% of my Christmas shopping. Let's hope I can be good and not buy myself anything, or not buy myself much.
WHAT I'M EXCITED ABOUT...
The holidays.
WHAT I'M WATCHING/READING...
I am still reading The Husband's Secret. I just haven't had that much free time lately and when I do, I binge my favorite tv shows. But I hope to start reading the Marriage Pact soon.
I am watching Jane the Virgin on the CW app (total guilty pleasure), This is Us, Grey's Anatomy, Million Dollar Listing LA, Modern Family and Ozark. I started Ozark on Netflix and I am loving it so far. It has a feeling of Bloodline, but still different. Oh and lots of Hallmark Christmas movies.
WHAT I'M LISTENING TO...
Nothing. I wish I was listening to Christmas music, but some of my co-workers are ba-humbugs.
WHAT I'M WEARING...
I am wearing my new J Crew sweater blazer and a few other things that I bought recently, but most of them appeared in my previous What's Up Wednesday post. Trying to be good and not buy everything.
We are going to our last home game against UNLV and then Sunday we are going to cut down a Christmas tree. I can't wait.
WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH...
Christmas and all the fun things we do for the holiday. Christmas light looking, Santa train, ornament making, baking cookies, Christmas Eve party, the girls 3rd birthday and so much more.
WHAT ELSE IS NEW...
I am starting to plan out the girls 3rd birthday party. I threw around ideas of having it at a bounce house place, the trampoline place and then at home. I think at home is going to win it over again until they are a little older. But this time I plan to have it catered with some of their favorite foods. And by catered, I am thinking pizza, Chick fil-a nuggets and things like that. My best friend is making their cupcakes too.
ELF ON THE SHELF IDEAS?
I am fresh out of those. I have never done it. This year we are planning to introduce our elf on December 1st. He is bringing Christmas pjs, Christmas books and Christmas socks to the girls. Every few days we will move him, but are not doing all the cutesy things (yet, next year). We are just letting the girls know that he is watching and reporting back to Santa. Then on December 20th, they are giving all of their pacis to the elf to take back to Santa, so he can give them to other babies who need them more than the girls do. I hope it works and we enter into the new year paci free. Fingers crossed.
I love shopping online too. I love the idea of the favorite foods a the girl's birthday party! So thankful for you, your sweet bloggy voice and all the goodness you share. Happiest of Thanksgivings to you sweet friend!! xo
ReplyDeleteMe too. It makes it extra special. I am so thankful for you as well. Love our bloggy friendship!!
DeleteOnline shopping is my jam, obviously LOL! We went to the mall yesterday just to hang out because Ella wanted to and I was so happy to not have to go through any stores (well besides Justice and Lego haha) I'm still reading the husbands secret too! I can't find the time to read lately. I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving girl!!

ReplyDeleteGreen Fashionista
I loved The Husband's Secret and The Marriage Pact was good too!!! I am so with you on just being excited for the holidays to be here and cherishing all the moments with the kiddo. Grey's has been so good this year, right??? Love This is Us, Modern Family and Ozark too! I liked Ozark a lot more than Bloodline.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea that you are doing with the elf and taking the paci! That is genius!!! I know some people dread the elf and swear they aren't doing it for their kids...but I love the excitement and magic behind it and totally plan to do something like that for Zoe in a few years when she understands more what is going on. I love Sierra's welcome breakfast that she does, and plan on stealing that idea...and doing something similar with Christmas jammies and a Christmas book each year. Any maybe an ornament for her tree.
I hope you have an amazing Thanksgiving!!!!
The packs to Elf is a great idea. For my youngest he tied his to a balloon and sent them to the Angel Babies.
ReplyDeleteI think so as well. I just hope it works. Love the idea that you did too.
DeleteWe love experiencing the holidays with the kids too. I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!! Sierra ~ Beautifully Candid
