Happy Friday to you all! It has been a pretty stressful week at work, so I am so ready for the weekend. Though I don't have a real resolution at work, at least something happened. Sorry to be vague since I can't go into it too much.
Anyways, let's get onto Friday Favs.
ONE. I am not sure if this is a favorite, but I am going to be single parenting it this weekend. Rory is going to see his buddies this weekend to watch football and hang out. He leaves tomorrow morning (in the possible snow) and comes back Sunday afternoon. I have plans for the girls and I on Sunday. They include donuts at our new favorite donut/bagel shop and a twin date at the Discovery Museum. I can't wait.
TWO. This weekend I get to do something that I have wanted to do for a very long time. My sister is getting married in June 2018 and we are going wedding dress shopping. I loved wedding dress shopping for myself and going with my friends for their weddings, so I know this will be extra special. My baby sister is getting married.
I am a bridesmaid and she gave me a website and color for my dress. I want to see what her dress will look like before picking mine. I want to compliment her dress.
THREE. Another Halloween photo that I did not post in yesterday's post as this one came off of my husband's phone.
Does anyone feel like they don't get enough family photos? We really only get them when we take professional photos or really work for it. I mean we got two in one week and that is huge considering one of us is usually behind the camera.
My goal 2018 is to take more photos...especially whole family photos.
FOUR. Today is my touch up session for my eyebrows. I got them mircrobladed 8 weeks ago. I have been writing a post about the first session and then will follow up with this session...hopefully my last session for at least 18 months to three years. Sometimes you do need another session to get where you want to be. Let's hope that is not my case. Because spoiler, it hurts. A LOT.
FIVE. Has anyone tried Mix and Match Mama's Chicken Enchilada Soup? I love soups and want to make something next week that is hearty and uses our favorite flavors. When I saw this, I was drawn to it, but I want to make sure it has enough flavor. Oh and you best bet, Rory will be putting the chicken in the crockpot. My dislike for raw chicken is still strong ever since pregnancy.
I am linking up with April, A Little Bit of Everything, Meet @ the Barre and Cup of Tea.
We never take family photos!! Only the one time a year we schedule them. We could do better about that. Hate that it's been a stressful week at work, but glad you've got some sort of resolution. And I hope you and the girls have an amazing outing on Sunday! Happy Weekend!
ReplyDeleteWe barely get full family photos too even though I always try, haha!! Love that one of you guys!!! Have a fun weekend with the girls and don't forget the wine LOL! :)
ReplyDeleteI've tried that soup! It's delicious! We kicked it up a bit with some extra smoked chipotle peppers, but we kept a small bit for the boys, and they loved it, too! And YES to the photos! I made a conscious effort to book our photographer for everything this year, much my husband's chagrin haha
ReplyDeleteThat soup looks so good. I definitely have it pinned and need to try it this winter. I loved the girls' costumes - what a great family photo. Good luck this weekend!

Good idea on taking more family photos! Sorry to hear about stress at work and Rory traveling. Dave is away next week. :(
ReplyDeleteSending lots of hugs for things to work themselves out. Have fun with your weekend with the girls, and yummmm to all the donuts <3

I hope everything works out with your work situation. I never feel like we get enough family pictures. I am always handing the camera over to Eric to take pics of the boys and I but it's so hard to find someone to take pictures of all of us. I hope you and the girls have a fun girls weekend! Sierra ~

Congratulations to your sister!! That is going to be so much fun for you guys to go wedding dress shopping! I hope everything goes smoothly for you this weekend since you're single mommin' it again!
ReplyDeleteGood luck single parenting this week--hey, at least it's not a FULL week right?? You got this mama! I LOVE the family photo of you all on Halloween, and I feel the same way about not having enough family photos, too.
ReplyDeleteThat soup sounds amazing!!! The family picture is so sweet! I am terrible about it too and I have to do better starting now! I think maybe there are three from this whole 11 months of Zoe's life. My goal is at least one a month from here on out! It sounds like you have an amazing weekend planned!!! I hope you guys have so much fun!
ReplyDeleteGood luck single parenting, donuts sounds perfect.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the work drama, that stinks.
OHHH - wedding dress shopping IS THE BEST!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love that family pic on Halloween. That's a total keeper!!!
Have so much fun with the girls & twin date!!!
I have made that soup and just added a mini can of green chiles. I was going to just do rotel instead of tomatoes but did that since they are not the same size. Good luck single mama! And good luck with the micro blading touch up, As I told you I couldn't do it!
ReplyDeleteLol, that's awful that you're still turned off by chicken. Hopefully a morning of doughnuts with the girls will take away from the stressful work week. Sounds like y'all need a camera with a timer on it so you can take more family pictures next year!
ReplyDeleteWe are horrible about taking photos, especially family ones. I'm so excited for your sister! Wedding dress shopping, that is going to be so much fun!
