My Favorite Christmas Movies

I love Christmas time and it is no secret. I waited patiently to watch Christmas movies until the day after Thanksgiving. Then it was all I have wanted to watch, other than a few favorites (Fargo, The Affair and Modern Family).

So I am here today to share my favorite Christmas movies, in no particulate order.

One. A Christmas Story

I have loved this movie since the first time I saw it in grade school. I look forward to watching it over and over again on Christmas Eve/Christmas. From the pink bunny to santa pushing Ralphie down the slide with his boot, I can't get enough of it. I literally watch it over and over again on TBS for 24 hours straight. I am sure my husband loves this.

Two. National Lampoons Christmas Vacation.

This is a classic. Rory and I always reenact the part where Chevy Chase dips his cup in the bowl and takes a drink and says, "It's good, it's good". From the racoon in the tree to chopping down the biggest Christmas tree ever, this is a classic in our house.

Three. Four Christmases.

We actually watched this movie over the weekend. It is really funny. From getting spit up on to the niece carrying the pregnancy test in her mouth, this is a movie full of laugh and is very lighthearted.

Four. Home Alone.

Another classic that I haven't gotten to watch this year. This is still a favorite of mine. I even liked the second one. From tar on the boots to "Keep the change you filthy animal", this is a movie I can't wait to show my girls when they get older.

Five. Nightmare Before Christmas.

This is a Christmas movie, not a Halloween movie. Though I probably watch it during both seasons/holidays. This is another classic. Jack the Pumpkin King tries to become Santa, but fails. I love the songs and the cartoonish feel.

Six. Elf.

A Will Ferrel movie I actually like (ok there are a few of them). This movie is so cute and brings out the inner child in anyone. I love Buddy's sweetness and how he annoys his "real father".

Did I forget any? I could seriously watch ALMOST any Christmas movies. I especially love the Hallmark cheesy ones. In fact, I have three saved on my DVR that I know my husband is just dying to watch (not).
