Five on Friday

It's Friday, there is snow on the ground and it is my favorite time of the year.

Today I am linking up with Karli and Liz.

One. Today I finally get to go see my surgeon to have my belly button checked out. Last week, I was in excruciating pain on and in my belly button. It has gotten a bit better, but I think that is because I am getting used to the pain. That's what always happens to me. I think I am good to go and when I finally get checked out, my doctor's ask how I could have even managed the pain. I guess I push it aside. So I am going to get it checked out because there is a hard painful ball inside my belly button and pain beside it and on top of it. So fingers crossed we figure out a game plan to make it better. I have babies, snowboarding and the winter to tackle.

Two. I know I said I didn't want much this Christmas, but then I walked into Anthropologie looking for gifts and saw this beauty.

The light purple, the way the lines go, the softness and the draped neck. I. Need. This. Now. It took everything in me to not buy this. So please family, get me this.

Three. My father-in-law is having surgery on his eye on Monday morning, so please keep him in your prayers. His retina is detaching in both eyes. He had surgery on the one that was worse a couple months back and his recovery was rough. He was nauseated for a long time. This surgery is on the better eye and he knows what to expect, so they are hoping to ease the nausea this time. Here is to hoping for two healthy eyes very soon!

Four. I am getting a much needed pedicure after my doctor's appointment today. I would snap a photo of my toes to show you how bad they are, but I am really embarrassed about them. Apparently, I had a crack in my big toe and when I was snuggled into my hotel bed sheets, it ripped and part of my nail is gone. Ouch and so ugly. I can't wait to soak my feet in the warm water and get a mini massage on my legs. Heaven. And I need to pick a Christmas-y color out because the half painted, half broken nails isn't cutting it.

Five. These girls. They will be ONE in less than 3 weeks. 18 days to be exact. I have been crafting, planning and buying for their birthday party. I can't believe the time slipped this fast. But they are growing, thriving and happy as can be. I am very much looking forward to the next several weeks with my girls and all the Christmas and Birthday fun.

I can't believe our girls will be 1 very soon, but it is also a huge milestone that I have been looking forward to.
