Happy Friday! Today is my last day working from home, full time. Next week, I go back into the office three days a week. After I had two full weeks off for recovery, I got to work from home for the last 4 weeks. Not going to lie, I am a bit scared of how I will be able to sit in an office chair for 9 hours a day. But fortunately one of my coworkers is going to come get me for walks throughout the day. Even just in the hallways to get me up and moving.
Anyways, onto Friday favorites and happenings.
ONE. So I got Rory to try on his shirt and pants from Travis Mathew. We already knew that he liked the brand, but he wanted a new pair of slacks/golf pants (seriously you can wear them anywhere). I asked him if he liked them and he said yes. He asked me to get another pair of the pants, but when we went to purchase another pair, the only colors left were dark gray, a steel blue and black. He has a lot of those colors, so he asked me to keep an eye of for any restocks in other colors.
He also said this polo is soft, breathable and perfect for the office or golf course. So his items were a total win!
TWO. So what did I end up keeping?
THREE. Last weekend we went to a friends house in the mountains by Graeagle for a birthday party at the pool. We stayed up there overnight and it was the perfect day. It would have been better if I could have gone in the pool, past my knees, but hopefully that happens soon. This is also the first time I curled my hair since surgery. Small steps.
FOUR. This week Rory came to DJ Trivia with me and my sister and brother-in-law watched the girls for us. But before we went over to their house, we went to dinner. Now that the girls are reading everything, they often read the menu. When they saw mud pie, they asked what it was and so very sweetly asked if we could get it. How could we say no? But when we got it, it was massive. Like this piece could feed 6 adults. Ha. We couldn't finish it. The picture doesn't do it justice.
FIVE. Friday Funnies.
Have a great weekend. I am linking up with A Little Bit of Everything.
I have that J Crew scalloped cami in two different colors and I love them! I've had them for years and they're still in excellent condition even after many wears. They're so good!
ReplyDeleteI know you do! They are simply the best and I know you can attest to that. Mine are still in excellent condition. I have one that is blue and orange and another in a hot pink. Now I need the black one. Have a great weekend!
DeleteOh those mems! LOL.. that password one had me cracking up! I hope everything goes well for you starting back to work next week.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. I am so not looking forward to it. It had me cracking up too!
DeleteThat skirt looks amazing on you! Love the sweater too. And those shoes you have paired with it lol. Sounds like you guys had a fun trip, even if you couldn't get into the pool. LOL at the absolutely not, $10 on Amazon meme. I hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHaha, thank you so much. You are so sweet. We did have a fun time. I can't wait...tomorrow I hope to get my clear to go back in the pool and exercise. I hope you had a fun weekend too.
DeleteHow sweet about the Mud Pie and the girls reading. Rory looks great in his new threads. Great memes.
ReplyDeleteOh yes. They are very sweet. And thank you so much!
DeleteYes, slow steps. I am glad that you have a coworker that will help you walk even if it’s just in the hallway. I love the Halogen skirt. Very pretty and the length is just right! Ooo I am craving that mud pie. It looks so yummy and holy cow that it can feed six people!

It has definitely helped this week. I love the skirt and the length too. I just can't wait to wear it for more than just trying it on. The mud pie was soooo good!
DeleteI definitely can barely pull an all-dayer at this point! I was with my fam yesterday, and my cousin was like, "What are you doing after this?" I was like, "GOING HOME?! Laying in my air conditioned bedroom??" haha!
ReplyDeleteSame. I feel like I can't keep up these days.
