Happy Valentine's Day to you all! Do you have anything planned? This morning, we gave the girls their Valentine's Day gifts, so they could wear those cute heart leggings to school. They loved everything and I think I spent less than $12 on each basket.
I feel like today shouldn't be anything special as you should celebrate your loved ones every single day. But I do like to give my girls a little something extra. I hope you all have a great day and weekend!
Onto Friday Favorites and Happenings.
ONE. I have been shopping around for rugs in our house since we now have wood and tile floors in most of our house. The bedrooms are still carpeted (new). But since adding in the new floors, you can definitely feel the coolness of the tile and the wood. That is why I mentioned last week that I bought two new bath rugs/mats for my bathroom. Rory is still choosing what he wants in his bathroom
But I have been hunting new rugs for under our dining room table. I found one I really like, but I feel like I need to sit on it (not actually sit on it) before ordering. Buying a rug is a hard decision because you can't really tell what it is going to look like in a house. Here is a picture of my flooring (in the hallway) and here is the rug that I am thinking about. What do you think? Where did you purchase rugs for your house at?
TWO. On February 1st, I went to my cousin's baby shower. They have no idea what they are having, so we all took guesses. Her shower was bee themed and it was so cute. Plus the cookies we had were amazing and I plan on using the cookie girl in the future for a party. How cute was her shower?
Not even close to half the gifts she received.
The amazingly delicious cookies.
Part of my family that was at the shower.
THREE. So we are going to Mexico (again) in March and we are bringing the girls this time, plus my in-laws. The girls haven't been in a couple of years, and we are excited to take them. But we are also cautious. Where we go in Mexico is pretty safe, but they are beautiful little girls, so we are taking extra precautions and definitely being very watchful over the girls.
The girls are super excited to swim everyday (we have a pool at the condo), eat all the yummy food, spend time in the sunshine and go on excursions with us.
But that also means that I need to kick my butt into gear for an early swimsuit season. Ha. I workout very consistently, but I definitely try a bit harder before vacation. Anyways, this also means that I have been looking at swimsuits....in February. Who wants to do that? Not me. I hate the idea of going into a store and seeing myself in those dressing room mirrors. They are the worst and I hate the lighting. I prefer to buy online, ship it to my house and see myself in my natural light or at the least the lighting in my house.
So send me your favorite swimsuit shops, or swimsuits. I used to buy mine at Victoria Secret, but now they only sale Pink swimsuits.
FOUR. I know that it isn't time for my monthly Amazon prime purchases, but I had to share this little gem a blogger recommended to me. I have been wanting something to put all of my wrapping paper in. I wanted one around Christmas, but I didn't want to pay $30 to $40 for it. When the blogger posted about this on IG, I instantly bought one and now my wrapping paper has a home and it is easy to move around and store. This thing is amazing and cheap too. $8.06 is a steal.
FIVE. Weekly funnies.
I am linking up with April, A Little Bit of Everything, Meet @ the Barre and Becky.
Have a great weekend!
I love that blueish rug! I don't want to find out what my first baby will be when the time comes along so that shower is right up my alley!! Such a cute idea. I want that mug about your wife's choices for my wedding haha that's perfect! Happy Valentine's Day!

Since I had twins, I really wanted to find out. But if I didn't, I would have loved a surprise too. You need that mug for your bridal shower!
DeleteThe shower looks great. I didn't know what I was having for 2 out of my 3 kids.
ReplyDeleteReally? That is so cool. I wish I could have been surprised, but with twins, it just didn't seem feasible.
DeleteI like that rug. I buy all my rugs at Rugs USA. There is a function where you can upload a pic of your room and see how they look, it is super helpful. Yay for Mexico! It is a drag shopping for suits this time of year for sure! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteReally? I need to do that then. I had no idea. I am so excited about Mexico again!!!
DeleteI believe I got my rugs from Overstock. I feel like they are really hard purchases, too.
ReplyDeleteThat baby shower was precious and such a great option for something gender neutral, too!
I will check out overstock too. Thank you for the recommendation. I love the baby shower. The bee theme is just too cute!
DeleteThat half time meme - TRUTH
ReplyDeleteThat gift wrapper storage - nice - I love things like that!!!
How smart is a bee theme for a gender-unknown party. So cute!!
Happy Valentines to you!!!
Haha, right? I like simple things like that as well. Plus the price was just right. I loved the bee theme. It was a very cute shower!!!
DeleteI love that rug! I've gotten our rugs from various places - Target, Lowe's, Marshall's, and even Amazon!
ReplyDeleteI love the rug you chose for your living room. And the sizes are so crazy to figure out. Ugh.
DeleteSuch pretty baby shower decor! I love it!

It was sooo pretty.
DeleteI have found some really great bathing suits on Amazon! (I always make sure they have free returns before I order just in case I don't like them once they get here). I love that adorable baby shower theme.
ReplyDeleteI will look into some on Amazon. I have one from there, but I know it won't fit anymore. The shower was so pretty and I loved the theme so much!
DeleteOMG the memes from the Super Bowl had me dyyyyying! what's wrong with people haha
ReplyDeleteThey are so funny. Even though they were at my teams expense. Ha.
DeleteI love the rug, I bet it will look nice with your floors. I purchased our huge rug for our living room at HomeGoods. I absolutely love it and highly recommend looking there too if you want to see something in person! I felt like we got a good deal, and I get compliments from pretty much everyone who has ever been in our house on it.
ReplyDeleteYou're right, the dressing room lighting just makes you look awful. I went into H&M today and just made me think eeeek! I need to stop eating! But I said F it and had a Chick Fil A. HAHA The bee themed baby shower was so sweet!!
ReplyDeletehaha That Sweethearts meme is funny. Love theme for the baby shower. Looks like she got a lot of gifts.
