Friday Favorites

*This post contains affiliate links.

Happy Friday all! We are over here getting sick of the rain and hoping for some sunshine this weekend. Though it is looking like more thunder showers. My dog hates the thunderstorms, so please oh please go away. We don't have a lot on the agenda this weekend which is nice, but I know the next few weeks will be jammed packed.

Onto Friday Favorites and Happenings.

ONE. This weekend we are finally getting the girls haircut. I set this appointment up almost a month ago when I was dead set on chopping the girls hair off. Now I go back and forth on it. I want it to grow, to grow more evenly and not look as stringy, but I also don't want to regret cutting it. Ugh. The struggle is real. Right now I am opting more for the bob cut right around their shoulders, but that means taking a ton off the back (they have mullet style hair, ha). I just don't want to cry and regret it. Yes, I know hair grows back, but this is their baby hair. My husband wants to just trim it, but that won't take care of the crazy hair. Decisions.

TWO. Have you heard about the company Primary? It is kids and baby clothing that is in the primary colors. They are all simple, but so cute. My girls have a few pairs of pants and long sleeve shirts from their line, but are in desperate need of some summery clothes from there. Plus these clothes fit them so well and are long enough. Do you know how hard it is to find pants that are long enough for my girls, but still fit their tiny waists? Hard. These are in my basket right now. (This isn't sponsored, I just love these clothes for my girls)

THREE. Remember last weekend how I said I ordered the Halogen Long Cardigan? Well I got it Tuesday and I immediately wore it on Wednesday to work. I LOVE that cardigan. It is light which means it is perfect for Spring through Fall, is a flattering length and soft. I know want one in every color, but with the price tag, I think I will order another and then wait for them to go on sale. Seriously, this is a must have. I am getting the navy this time and I hope it will pair perfectly with my new dresses from Target (one of which already came).

And if you want something a little warmer (aka your office gets super cold like mine does), they have a ribbed version that is thicker and just as cute.

FOUR. Wednesday evening I had my eyelash appointment (it has been about three weeks since my last one), but it wasn't until 5:30. That gave me time to go to Sephora and then next door to Old Navy. I needed more foundation since mine is nearing the end and I also wanted to get the No Poreblem. I have heard great things about it and definitely could use some smoothing out, aka hide my pores.

Here is my foundation...I absolutely love it. It has SPF 35 in it, goes on smoothly, lasts all day and has amazing coverage.

FIVE. As I said in #4, I went to Old Navy. I wanted to check out the bow sandals everyone keeps talking about. I had seen similar ones at Walmart which were only $7, but the quality didn't seem that great and the strap cut into my foot (I have high arches which might explain it). I had checked online before leaving work and the location I was going to had two pairs in black left. I went in and tried on my usual size 8 and it fit, but my toes were all the way to the end. So I tried on a size 9 and they fit perfectly. I would suggest sizing up because I am a size 8 in every shoes I own, but they are definitely cute and didn't cut into my feet, so I bought them.

Right now you can get them for 30% off using the code Lucky, but it does end tonight.

Have a great weekend!

  2. Those bow sandals are sooo cute, what a steal! As for the girls' hair, I think they'd look adorable with a longer little bob cut -- but if you're worried about it and it's their first cut, maybe you could start with a trim and then if you think it still needs more off/to be evened out, take them back for the bob. That way it's baby steps. ;) I had the hairstylist give me a little lock of hair from C's first cut to keep, too.

  3. My bow flats are my correct size - I had first gotten them a size up but they were too big. But they hurt my foot when I wore them! I'm still going to try again because I love them. Good luck with the haircut! Gabbie had / has that same problem with being tall and skinny. Her pants (leggings) are all too short on her!

  5. Those bow sandals are so cute! I have that primer on my list to check out after everyone has raved about it lately. I haven't heard of that kids clothing company, but will check it out. I feel like sometimes it is hard to find plain things that dont have characters or prints on them to mix in, you know? And I feel you on the mullet hair. We have that issue with Zoe. Her front is getting long and shaggy and in her eyes now too, but she doesn't have enough to pull back. Poor kid is a mess everyday haha. I have to learn how to do little girl hair!

    1. The bow sandals are amazing. I am loving the primer. I saw it everywhere too, so I finally got it and everyone is right. I love it. It goes on smoothly, gives me an airbrushed look and doesn't weigh down my face or make it greasy. Oh that is why I love Primary. For that exact reason. Oh my girls had the same problem and we cut their hair!!!!

  7. Cut their hair. Just save a lock from each. It will grow back stronger and healthier. But I know how you feel. I am debating the bow sandals. And let me know how you like the pore prob lem. I have been looking for a good one.

  9. Those bow sandals are adorable! I have the Walmart ones and they cut into my foot for the first few minutes I wore them and I was worried I wasn't going to like them, but they just needed to be worn in. They're comfy now! I didn't even realize that ON had some of these!

  12. You have to share what you think about the primer - I could use all the help with my pores, too! And my vote is a cute little bob for the girls, although they will look precious with any haircut!

  13. Tough call on the hair, but I would go for the bob, they will look ADORABLE no matter what but I think a good bob does everyone good haha. I'm actually about to do the same to my girls but then people keep telling me not to, but I think for summer, it's a good idea. And yes, I love Primary!!!
