Happy New Year all! I am trying to get back into the swing of things. Blogging is tough when you are recovering from the holidays, but I do have a Christmas recap coming at you tomorrow!
I was going to show you my top 5 posts of 2017, but after going through them all, they are almost all Friday's Favorites. It seems that Friday is my big traffic day, so I will definitely continue to participate in those.
So instead, I decided that I would share my top 9 posts of 2017 from Instagram. Of course the girls are featured in almost all of them. They are just too cute and you all thought the same about them.
I also wanted to share some of my goals and thoughts for 2018.
- Try new foods and recipes. I would like to think we are not picky eats because we will try almost anything, but when it comes to actually cooking different meals at home, I sort of fail at that. I want to branch out and try new things. Plus I have an Instant Pot now and I am loving it. I am making Skinny Taste's IP Spaghetti this week and I have plans to make a Chunky Potato Soup and Chicken Tikki Masala next week. So please send me your favorite recipes (IP or not), so I can branch out and try new meal AT HOME.
- Have more patience. I thought I was a patient person until my twins turned 2 and the tantrums, fights, yelling matches and sassiness started. Wow was 2 hard, but 3 is turning out to be just as hard. The girls pediatrician said it right...they are now threenagers. I always heard that term and didn't think much of it, but the girls are full on threenagers.
While they are so sweet, caring, loving, smart, beautiful and creative little girls, they can throw some epic tantrums. These tantrums are hard to stop. I will ask them calmly to do something and will have to ask about 5 other times because yelling and that isn't good. I hate the yelling, but they won't do something until it gets to that point. So I need to find more patience. Tips, please share them.
- Take more photos. I always say I am going to take more photos and then I don't. I love living in the moment, but I want to capture some of these moments in photos and videos because my girls are growing and changing ever so quickly. I just need to capture more.
- Be a better me. To myself, my family, my friends and my co-workers.
- Be more in the moment.
What are your goals for 2018?
Love your top 9!! I'm also really wanting to try new recipes this year, AND get my family to eat them too. I want to eat healthier but not be alone in it.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to have more patience too! Any hints? :)
ReplyDeleteI am allllll about more photos. Life needs to be captured & remembered. Every second of it. Your girls will love seeing it all too as they grow up
ReplyDeleteLove these goals! I need more patience too, and I want to try new recipes and freshen up the weekly menu <3

I'm with you! (minus the photos, my friends call me the paparazzi so that one is a go haha!) Happy new year friend!! xo
ReplyDeleteI'm so with you on the photos! I take a TON, but I never get the best ones, so that's my real issue. Also, I know I say it every time, but dang, your little girls are so cute!
ReplyDeleteI recognize two of the recipes you're trying this week ;) AND we made a spaghetti in the IP last night too. It was a little watery (I think the sauce we used is a little more watery than others, so keep that in mind), but it was still tasty and easy!
ReplyDeleteI agree…its tough getting back into the swing of things. I just want to be back on my couch staring at twinkling lights on my Christmas tree! I love your best nine photos! I could work on having more patience as well.
ReplyDeleteOh, I'd love to get an IP. I think it would help with finding meals to make at home. I need to get better at that myself!!

I'm with you on the more patience. I struggle with that and it's really hard. Here is hoping we are better in 2018.
ReplyDeleteYour girls are just too cute! I am working on my patience too, and was glad to hear I'm not the only one struggling :) Have a Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI love these goals! I need more patience everyday and we are also hoping to incorporate some new meals into our routine. The girls are just too cute so I can see why they made your top posts. Happy New Year! Sierra~Beautifully Candid
ReplyDeleteI love trying new recipes and have a bunch on deck for my whole30 this month. I most definitely need more patience as I realize that Zoe has less and less. Haha. Girlfriend waits for nothing! Happy 2018!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the patience, I can't imagine that is easy with twins! I'm trying to be more in the moment too.
ReplyDeleteLove your one about have more patience. Also, I'm guilty of taking tons of photos that I never do anything with so I need a variation of that one in 2018
