Celebrities Really Do Fly Southwest

My husband kindly reminded me that on Thursday morning, I "fangirled" it out (but not really) when I flew to Los Angeles sitting right behind a celebrity. I have A-List on Southwest, so I was the 8th person to board the plane. I wasn't paying attention, I just wanted a window seat. The first two rows of window seats were taken, so I went to the third seat. I minded my own business and listened to music most of the way down.

We landed in LA and I finally came out of my dazed state. And standing right in front of me was this guy. I knew this guy, but couldn't place him. I knew he was a celebrity that I recognized. I could picture him in this movie, but couldn't name the movie. I thought he was in A-Team, so I slyly looked it up on imdb. Nope. But he had to be in a movie with say Bradley Cooper because Bradley Cooper is in everything these days. So I clicked his name and saw American Hustle. That was it. I knew who it was. Any guesses?

After some googling, I find out he has a house in Lake Tahoe, often visits here and is making some music up here. Very cool. He was very humble, kind and bolted off the plane. I thought he was in town for Burning Man, but I was wrong. And my stalking is done.

I didn't see any other celebrities while visiting LA. It is funny how often I run into celebrities while traveling (mostly for work). While I haven't met many in LA, I have met a ton in New York City.

    1. When I was in NYC they were filming New Year's Eve right outside my hotel so I met Ryan Seacrest, Halle Berry, Ashton Kutcher, Lea Michelle and Jon Bon Jovi. And the same trip I ran into (literally) Angelica Huston in Tribeca. She was getting groceries out of her car and backed up into me as I was walking by. Such a nice lady. And I met Candace Swanpool (VS model) and she wasn't very nice at all. This was when she was a brand new model too. I have met countless musicians at Vans Warped Tours over the years. Just fun to see them in their "real life".

  3. That's amazing! I mostly fly Jet Blue and Southwest when flying domestic so I always figure I'll never see a celeb since there's no business or first class on those airlines. Love hearing stories of celebs who fly coach/discount airlines :)

    1. Yes! My co-workers have flown from LA to Vegas and have seen a lot of celebrities fly southwest. Hurley from Lost has done it a few times. I have flown Jet Blue a few times from Vegas to NYC. I liked it. Especially a tv with many channels at every seat. Makes flying on a Sunday easy during football season!
