Mexico Days 4 and 5

We left off Monday night in my last post. Tuesday was very much the same and I only took two photos. And those were evening pictures. But I do remember what we did and where we ate. We got pastries in the morning and made coffee at the condo. We made coffee daily and it was so nice to enjoy a cup of coffee on the patio/balcony.

While enjoying the pastries, I went on IG, Rory did some work and the girls watched Disney + and Netflix shows on their kindles. Then my in-laws watched the girls and Rory and I headed to a massage. They had a special going for 2 75 minute massages for 900 pecos which is about $42.85 not including tip. What a steal. We were on the rooftop and it was amazing and so relaxing.

After our massages, we headed back to the condo, showered and headed into town to go shopping. The girls were with my in-laws, so Rory and I got some time to explore and hang out. We took protein bars, cheese rounds and other snacks with us and then took a taxi into town. We shopped for a couple hours and then headed back toward the Romantica zone to meet up with the girls and my in-laws.

Then we asked the girls what they wanted for dinner and they wanted pizza. So we went to Los Muertos Brewery and had pizza, beers, and salad. It was soooo good. I wish I would have taken a photo of the pizzas. They were huge with thin crust. Everyone was very happy. Then we made our way to the ice cream shop again and all had a scoop on a waffle cone.

After the girls went to bed and my in-laws went next door to their condo, we relaxed on the patio with some wine.

The girls were still up, but watching a show on their kindles.

Wednesday was St. Patrick's Day and I got the girls up and ready with their green on. Then they pinched my in-laws and Rory since none of them we were green yet. Rory and I made our way down to get pastries again and had coffee with them. This time it was my in-laws turn to have massages, so we hung out at the condo for a bit while Rory worked and had a conference call. Then we set out onto the melacon (which is a boardwalk) with the girls.

We got a picture of them drawn by a local and then took photos along the way. We also stopped at a toy shop and a boutique where they got purses of their choice. They also got bracelets the day before, but I never captured those.

When we got back to the condo, my in-laws were back and we went to lunch at Azul Bistro. I got the verde enchiladas and they were so good. My MIL had the mole ones and they were amazing as well.
Yes, Avery is holding Rory's Corona, but she did not have any. Ha.

We went back to the condo and had another wonderful afternoon of pool time!

After pool time, we all got ready. The girls stayed with my in-laws in our condo and had leftover pizza and played card games while Rory and I had a date night. We went to Panchos Takos and had everything and more. We were so stuffed!

My delicious tacos.

poblano pepper and onion quesadilla
Poblano pepper and onion quesadilla. This thing was open faced and heavenly!

We also had chips and guacamole. Rory had four tacos and a bit of my third one.

After dinner, we walked around to burn off some food. We came up to the water just in time for the sunset which was stunning.

Then Rory and I made our way to our favorite bar, Bar La Playa for drinks. We have been going to this bar for years and we always see our favorite bar tender. We had a few drinks here before heading to the ice cream shop and having a large scoop in a waffle cone. Then we headed back to the condo to relieve my in-laws and head to bed!

This one is called Senorita which has coconut water, vodka, and a splash of hibiscus syrup.

This one had vodka, lavender, blueberries and lemon.

Rory had a mezcal flight and another mezcal drink.

And that ends days 4 and 5. I have one more post covering days 6, 7 and 8.

    1. I should do the same since I miss Mexico so much. Fortunately it is starting to warm up here and with the Spring blossoms, it makes me feel a bit better. Oh they love dressing up, having purses and carrying everything in them. It is beyond adorable.
