Do you ever feel like certain weeks just keep piling on? Well this has definitely been one of them. They save everything comes in threes and I am scared to see what number three may be. Let's just hope nothing happens.
Anyways, onto my Favorites and Happenings.
ONE. THANK YOU for the outpouring love, support and prayers that last several days. It has sooooo helped. I have read all your sweet messages to my husband and in-laws. They really appreciate it. If you didn't see Monday's post, then you might be a bit confused. Rory's aunt passed away on Sunday and it was so sudden and devastating. No one saw it coming.
She passed from a massive heartache. I am still reeling over her death. I have cried everyday this week. It just doesn't seem real. I may have only known her for about 9 years, but she made a HUGE impact on my life. I miss her and love her so much.
We have her funeral on Monday morning. We have to travel for the funeral and my parents (who are total rockstars) are watching the girls for us so we can attend and grieve properly. My amazing sister is watching our house and our pup. So thank you family!
As for the second thing I alluded to up top, I don't want to share much on it until we have more information. Once I have more, I will let you know. But we could definitely use more prayers.
TWO. I am finishing a post that I started about a month ago to go live on Monday. It is a good one. It is all my favorite places that I have ever traveled. It includes a lot of info plus a lot of pictures. And believe me, I have traveled a lot and still am traveling constantly.
THREE. So just like every other blogger and person out there, I shopped the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. I bought a few items, but didn't find most of the things that I really wanted to be on sale. But here is what I did grab.
FOUR. Happy 2nd birthday to my sweet nephew Carson!!!
FIVE. On Wednesday, I posted about an amazing jewelry company, AUrate Jewelry, that I worked with. They provide fine jewelry at great prices and everything is sooo beautiful. I received a rose gold ring with black diamonds and it has become my favorite piece to wear. I can wear it with everything and I get compliments on it all the time. Go check out my post if you didn't catch it.
SIX. Next week is our monthly Girl Chat link up and this month's theme is Favorite Summer Recipes. I can't wait to share and read others. I need some new recipes to add to my rotation. So please post and help me out!!!
I am linking up with April, A Little Bit of Everything, Meet @ the Barre and Cup of Tea.
Have a great weekend!
I hope you find some comfort this weekend, I know it has been difficult! HUGS!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Andrea!
DeleteSending you continued thoughts for peace and comfort. <3 So, so hard. Looking forward to the link up next week -- I have a summer recipes post already in the works so this is perfect. XO
ReplyDeleteOh that is awesome. I can't wait to read yours. Love all the recipes that you recommend. And thank you so much.
DeleteI wanted that moto jacket so bad but it's out of my size!!
ReplyDeleteI was sooo happy that I got it when I did. It is sooo pretty. I hope it fits.
DeleteStill praying for you and your family. I'm glad you will be able to attend the services and have the time you need. Life is so tricky sometimes and hard when we least expect it. If you need anything I'm here <3 Sierra Beautifully Candid
ReplyDeleteUs too and thank you so much. Life is definitely kicking us in the pants lately. And thank you Sierra.
DeleteI managed to keep my cart down to just two items for the nordstrom sale. By the time I got the site to finally work right for me, they had already sold out of the one thing I really wanted. So rude.
ReplyDeleteI am still sending your family all the hugs and prayers.
You are amazing. I keep adding more. Ugh. I just can't stop. Hopefully some items don't work and I return some. I saw that they sold out of that dolman. It is a very cute cover up. I would have totally loved it. And thank you sweet friend.
DeleteLosing a beloved family member is such an emotional rollercoaster - so sorry to hear you are going through this right now, I know how hard it is. I must be the only Nordstrom sale escapee - it really is an epic event for you guys isn't it? I am impressed how strategic people have been buying autumn clothes. J x
ReplyDeleteYes it is. Totally hard times right now, but at least we do have family to lean on. They have been amazing. Oh the Nordstrom event is huge. It is similar to a sale at Selfridges or Harrods.
DeletePrayers lady. I cannot wait to read all about your travels, you know I travel vicariously through you. Love you and thinking of ya'll.
ReplyDeleteYes! I can't wait to share more about them and the pictures. Love you too and thank you for reaching out to me.
DeletePraying safe travels for the funeral & that everything is beautiful in honoring such a great woman
ReplyDeleteI wish I could afford the Nordstrom sale. That tote is really nice. Sending prayers and hope the travel to the funeral goes well.
ReplyDeleteI need some new things for my work trip, so I used that as an excuse. I will get overtime which can pay for those items. Otherwise, I usually skip the sale or just get a tee. And thank you so much Dara.
DeleteI don't have the credit card so I haven't been able to shop yet, but I'm hoping the things I want are still in stock when it's open to the public!
ReplyDeleteOh dang. I think they do restock some of the favorites. That is what I was told. So fingers crossed that they do.
DeleteI'm sorry about your husband's Aunt. It's so hard losing people that you love. I've never shopped at Nordstrom. I feel like I wouldn't be able to afford it, even if it's on sale. I've been looking at different bloggers wish lists though.
