I have been on some pretty amazing vacations. My favorite so far was Costa Rica. This was before the girls were born, but it was the best. If you are looking for a tropical, easy going, outdoorsy type of vacation, look no further than Guanacaste, Costa Rica. That is the province. We stayed near Tamarindo.
But I have already been there, so lets talk about where I want to go. A European vacation. I have been to England, Scotland and Gibraltar in Europe, but there are many countries I am dying to go to.
So let's get started.
Where? Italy, Germany, Greece, France and Switzerland. I mean I would travel to almost every European county if I could, but I limited it to the ones I HAVE to see in my lifetime.
Who would I go with? If I were to leave tomorrow, I would go with just my husband since my girls are so young. I am not sure they could appreciate all Europe has to offer and it would be hard seeing everything when they get tired from walking. But if it was a few years from now, I would include my sweet girls.
What would I do/see?
Italy: Milan. I would love to go shopping in Milan because it is the fashion capital. I would also love to see Sicily, the Tuscany region and Rome. I would go wine tasting in Tuscany. I would see all the historical places in Rome like the Vatican, Colesseum, Sistine Chapel, etc. I would also eat my way through Italy.
Greece: My former boss is from Greece and I heard nothing but great things about it. Plus Jenn talked about it last year when she and her husband went. I would eat all the Greek food, go to the beaches, go to the small towns and explore.
France: I was supposed to go to France for work last year but it got cancelled. So now I would love to go there and go to Paris to...eat, see the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and stroll along the Seine. I would also love to go to South France and explore the country side there.
Switzerland: I would go see Zermatt and Zurich. My brother-in-law and sister-in-law have spent some time there for work and they have said nothing but good things about it.
I would love to do this by train, but let's be real, I would do some by train and most of it by plane. I do want to see the country side of Europe and the best way would be by train. I could add on so many countries like Ireland, Sweden, Croatia, Slovenia, Denmark, etc. And let's be real, I could only do this dream vacation if money didn't matter.
Where would you go on your dream vacation?

I am with you on some type of European vacation! It would be amazing to be able to hit up all those places!
ReplyDeleteAn European vacation sounds so amazing! I would love to visit Germany & Switzerland too! My bestie has family in Greece and she goes often, that also would be breathtaking to see!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds amazing. I'd go on that trip as well. Maybe we'll leave the men at home and go. Ha ha!
ReplyDeleteCosta Rica is on our radar for our next tropical getaway, so glad to hear you loved it! And yessss to all of these European destinations. When we went from Barcelona to Lisbon on the last leg of our Europe trip a few years ago we wanted to go by train, but plane won out because of timing. 11 hours on the train compared to 2 on the plane.

ReplyDeleteI would love to go to any of these places! I hate flying and it has probably been the biggest thing that has kept me from going over to Europe and exploring.
ReplyDeleteAnywhere in Europe is on my list! We are hoping that at some point in my husband's career that the Army will send us over there.
ReplyDeleteOur vacations are almost identical! Maybe we should plan it and go together! Haha. Santorini has been on my bucket list for two decades. Does it not look GORGEOUS?!
