I CONFESS...

/ that I bought a bunch of cheap red wines at Trader Joes yesterday. Last week Christina, from Carolina Charm posted the picture below and stated that these were her favorite red wines from TJ's and they were cheap and super good. She said she put the best on the left. So what's a girl to do while in TJ's with her husband and kids? Buy them all. And so I did. I can't wait to try them out.

/ that the only thing I received for Valentine's Day was a beautiful Glassy Baby from my in-laws. Not even a card from my husband. Boo. I know we weren't celebrating Valentine's Day technically and wanted to celebrate our half year anniversary, but a card would have been nice. I got him a card, wrote a sweet IG post and got some candy.

/ that our half year anniversary dinner isn't going to work out. Boo, again. We don't have anyone to watch the girls Friday and so we were going to do it Saturday night, but Rory has a Nevada basketball game to go to. Ugh. When will this season be over?

/ that I can't wait for baseball. I want to watch my Giants and maybe even go to a live game. Gasp. It has been far too long and this fan needs to see her team. Birthday present maybe?

/ that I am in a bit of a funk lately. I think it has to do with this crap weather. We have about one day of sunshine every two weeks and it is just blah. I usually am over winter by end of March, but right now, I am over it. I do want to snowboard more, but I want sunshine down in the valley. And warm temperatures please. Is that too much to ask?

/ that I ate a whole bag of Airhead bites, the family size yesterday and it was so good that I contemplated getting another bag for today. But that means more running. Blah.

/ that work has been stressful this week and I am looking forward to the weekend. I need a little break from one of my applicants.

/ that I could eat pizza everyday. It is a food I never get tired of and I dream about it.

/ that I can't get enough of Parenthood. We have been skipping our shows to watch it nightly. I did take a break so I could watch the Bachelor (wasn't worth it), but Parenthood is just soooooo good.

/ that I am not happy about the new Bachelorette. Why can't they branch out and chose someone new? I want to get to know the person through the season and not know them already. Ugh. Bachelor/Bachelorette bring in some new people please. I like the fact that they went the direction they did (don't want to spoil it if you haven't heard), but I would rather see someone new.

Ok enough complaining/venting/talking. What are your confessions?

  1. I have been in your shoes so many times with Valentine's Day. I have learned over our almost 14 years together that Drew is not a holiday person. He's a great gift giver, but not a holiday person, so I've lowered my expectations and have decided to just tell him what I need/want. I reminded him a few days before that Valentine's Day was coming and that all I wanted was a card with his words. That's what I always tell him. He came through and also got me a card from the kids that he had them sign, which I loved more than his card. Ha ha! I'm sorry your date night isn't happening. That's always a disappointment. Hopefully it gets rescheduled.

    1. That sucks!!! Ugh -20. I shouldn't be complaining then. We have lots of snow and rain lately. But not that cold. Hoping we both get some Spring like weather.

  5. I actually really like the Bachlorette - she was my favorite for this season so bummed she didnt make it to the end (which is weird how early they announced it) - but yeah - they've not picked a fresh face in a long time.
I wish I lived near you - i'd babysit for you guys so you could do your dinner <3

  6. I'm so ready for baseball season too! Nothing better than a sunny day, cold beer, and watching a game! And Parenthood was the best, I'm so sad it's over.

  7. I LOVE Parenthood! This is the second post I've read this morning where someone mentioned their love of it, and I've already been wanting to watch it again. Now I want to even more! I LOVE Airhead Bites!

  9. Girl, I think everybody is in a funk! I am SO ready for spring! Like, actual spring... not just spring-like weather that teases me. I want greenery and flowers and for everything to not look dead anymore.

And girl, I am right there with you on Parenthood. When B and I bingewatched it last year we literally just quit watching everything else so we could watch that. It is so FLIPPING GOOD.

    1. I know. He seems to be in it only for the fame. I can't wait to binge more Parenthood this weekend!

  13. Red wine is my favorite but I haven't had much luck with the super cheap bottles. I stick with the $9-$15 bottles usually. Let me know if anyone of those turn out to be awesome!
I have not watched Parenthood yet but I should. I'm sure it's a riot, just like actual parenting. :)

    1. I loved the first one. It is a great red wine that didn't leave a hangover and it was very fruity. You need to watch Parenthood. It has everything we all go through and then so much more. Totally worth it!
