Happy Veteran's Day and Happy Friday! Wow it feels like a long time since I have been on this blog of mine. To be honest, I was getting burnt out, stressed out at work and just needed a break. Plus I had so many trips in October that I couldn't keep up with blog reading, writing or anything. So I took a break. A much needed break. But I am back. Things have calmed down in my life a bit and I feel like I can catch you all up, write some gift guides and read your blogs. So enjoy!

This is what we have been up to lately. And I have separate posts for my trip to Austria and Poland. Those deserve some space here and I have been writing them, so I plan to share them in between everything for the next few weeks.

So what have we been up to? Well we have been going to Nevada football games which have been awful. They are on a 7 game losing streak. Rory and I went to Apple Hill right before I went on my work trip. We went to Mexico as a family (another blog post coming). We celebrated Halloween with a Halloween party and then trick or treating on Halloween. We had two friend pass away in the months of September and October (still reeling from that). We had our first snow.

Now for a photo dump and maybe some commentary.

We went to our friends annual Halloween party. We were going to be the Sanderson Sisters and Rory was going to be Cameron Poe from Con Air, but the girls hated their costumes since they chose "fun" ones that were full of tulle and itched them. So I grabbed these for them and me the day before I left for Austria.

Cameron Poe for Halloween

The girls were Seabrook cheerleaders from the Zombies movie, so I picked up some referee gear. Not our best, but it worked.

The next day, I went to my cousin's baby sprinkle. She had it at a local flower shop where we put together our own bouquet's. It was so much fun. And she surprised us and told us she is having another boy.

The next day was Halloween, so after working, we got ready to go trick or treating. And that started off with grabbing pizza at 4:30. Then we headed out. We usually go in a group of us, but after traveling and a busy weekend, we stayed in our neighborhood. We did meet up with some neighbors though.

I grabbed my first Lolo Latte minus the change from almond milk to oat milk as oat milk is so bad for you. Full of calories and vegetable oil. Anyways, it was really good, but next time I would only get two pumps of the sugar cookie syrup as it got way too sweet at the end.

We had some amazing sunsets, our first big snow of the year and some cuddle time. Now we are gearing up for Thanksgiving and Christmas. We have our last two football games to attend, cutting down our Christmas tree and decorating. Definitely my favorite time of the year!

How have you all been? I can't wait to catch up!

Have a great weekend. I am linking up with A Little Bit of Everything.

    1. It is basically a sugar cookie latte, but less pumps of sugar cookie and she subs oat milk, but I stick with the almond milk. And thank you. I am happy to be back to blogging and reading again.

  5. I love that your husband was Nicolas Cage from Con Air! Doesn’t he have a daughter that he’s trying to get back to? (As well as a blonde wife?) If Con Air were, uh, a more kid-friendly movie, there’s your family costume right there, haha! I love all the Halloween lights in your neighborhood, so pretty!

    1. Yes he does on both accounts. Ha. I totally agree. We could have done that if it was more kid friendly. Everyone loved his costume though!
