I think this month just blew by. But I feel like all of the months are flying by. We are headed into May and the weather is just beautiful lately. Today I am linking up for What's Up Wednesday.

What's Up Wednesday

WHAT WE ARE EATING THIS WEEK...

Sunday:

Monday: Take out as Rory has an appointment after work and I need to eat as late as I can since I have surgery on Tuesday.

Tuesday: I will be eating nothing or just some soup.

Wednesday: Probably soup or a smoothie

Thursday: Probably soup, a smoothie or something where I don't have to chew much.

Friday: Same as the previous days.

Saturday: Same as the previous days.

WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT...

Our past trips to Mexico. I can't believe our trip is over. But at least we have other vacations and things to look forward to the next few months.

WHAT I'M LOVING...

Dresses. I have been trying to scoop up dresses whenever I see one that I love. I love them for work and for play. I am definitely on the hunt for more maxi dresses to wear to work this summer.

WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO...

Well Rory and I went to Mexico very recently and it was amazing. The girls spent time with both sets of grandparents and we got to get away and relax. It is seriously so important to have alone time with your spouse and just to get away.

We also celebrated my mom's birthday and Easter!

WHAT I'M DREADING...

Nothing really. I was dreading my surgery, but it is now behind me and I am on the road to recovery.

WHAT I'M WORKING ON...

Healing. Last time I went back to work early and I didn't take enough time to recover, so I am being good and just laying low. I have the best three nurses taking care of me!

WHAT I'M EXCITED ABOUT...

Well finally being able to breathe again. Also, we have birthday parties this month, Mother's Day and the start of food truck Fridays. We love going to Food Truck Friday's. The girls have been asking to go each Friday, but the first one isn't until this Friday. About 25 food trucks set up in a park and they play music and have activities geared towards children. It is a lot of fun. Plus it is close to our house, so we usually just walk there with the girls in their wagon, eat, hang out and then walk home.

WHAT I'M WATCHING/READING...

On my trip, I read The Good Daughter and Then She Was Gone. They were both good. I read The Good Daughter first which was about 520ish pages. There were some parts of the book that were difficult to read (ie the content was a tough subject), but it was a good book. Then I read Then She Was Gone and I read that one really quickly. I finished it on our flight home because I couldn't put it down and had to know what happened. That book is a must read.

I just downloaded Hidden Bodies and I plan to finish it once I can stay awake a bit longer and remember what is going on in the book.

As for TV, I have been watching my usuals like Grey's Anatomy, Riverdale, Sneaky Pete (on Amazon Prime), Very Cavallari, Jane the Virgin and the Bold Type. I can't wait for June when the second season of Big Little Lies comes back along with Younger, Silicone Valley and True Detective (I know it is out, but I don't have HBO right now).

WHAT I'M LISTENING TO...

It is pretty quiet around here.

WHAT I'M WEARING...

I wore a ton of shorts on my trip along with bathing suits. Now that I am back, I have been wearing all the short sleeve shirts, dresses and linen pants. Speaking of linen pants, I need more. Or just wide legged pants. I have these ones and I want some more like it.
Others Follow Pants

Like these.

WHAT I'M DOING THIS WEEKEND...

Relaxing on the couch and recovering from surgery. My sister is coming over on Saturday to help watch the girls and help take care of me while Rory goes golfing with a friend who will be in town.

WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH...

June brings all the warmth. I am looking forward to our week in Graeagle, the girls dance recital, and going to the beach,

WHAT ELSE IS NEW...

Not much.
