Girls Fall Clothes

I have been Fall shopping for the girls because I am willing the weather to cool down. We have been in the 100s or very high 90s for the last two weeks or so. It is hot and I am over it. I am hoping that the Fall Gods will give us some cooler temperatures soon.

I went through the girls dresses last weekend and did a major overhaul. I have so many dresses to list on Poshmark, but the time it takes to do it, is holding me back. BUT I need to get on that.

Anyways, it made me realize that that girls outgrew so many clothes this last year and it was time for a bit of a refresh. Some of these we have purchased and others are on my lookout list for a sale. I LOVE a good sale.

We have items TWO, SEVEN, NINE, TEN and ELEVEN. My girls are obsessed with skirts right now and I really love FIVE. It is giving me Cher vibes from Clueless. 

But the item that I keep buying on repeat is ELEVEN. These boots are warm-lined and hold up all Fall and Winter...even Spring. The only reason I get a new pair each year is my girls grow out of them. They tie in the front, but once you tie once, you can just zip them up each time that your child puts them on. They keep my girls feet warm and dry each Fall and Winter. And they basically wear them daily.

Now to find as cute of Fall clothing for me.

4th of July Outfits for Men and Women

Now that I shared my Kids 4th of July Outfits, I thought I would share some for Men and Women. Now, it was a lot harder to find any. Maybe I am just shopping early, but I thought with Memorial Day not that long ago, there should have been more patriotic wear. I guess not. But I did find some cute stuff, and more for women than men, but still a few men finds.

I know adding a sweater in for the 4th seems weird, but if you are like me, then you more often or not are camping during the 4th of July. In the evening and mornings it is cold, and this is perfect to start or end your day. 

I also love the pairing of Six and Nine or Seven and Nine because they are things that can be worn all Summer long.

Men kind of get little here because it is either stripes or full blown flags and stars on their outfits. I do love the USA shirt which you can wear for the Olympics or the 4th of July. The shorts are technically pjs, but I see them more as lounge shorts.

Easter/Spring Dresses for Women

Can you believe that Easter is just over a month away? I can't. I have already started shopping for the girls Easter baskets and plan to get a post out soon of what I have already gotten them and then some things that are on my list. But first, I thought I would share some Easter/Spring dresses for us ladies and then some Easter/Spring dresses for the little girls.

I don't know about you, but I dress up each Easter. Some years it is dressier than others. Here is a picture from last year's Easter.

I have been wanting the bow dress for quite awhile. I am even considering it for a wedding that I have in August. But I just want it to go on sale. I haven't decided what I am wearing, but if I had to choose right now, I would go with the first or second dress in the top row or the first dress in the bottom row. They are all so beautiful and feminine.

St. Patrick's Day Attire for the Whole Family

Can you believe that St. Patrick's Day is one week away? I can't. We don't do anything big for St. Patty's day other than wear some green or something festive. We are usually in Puerto Vallarta as it is always the girls Spring Break. So we usually have some beers sometime during the day and that is about it. 

This year we will not be in Mexico as the flights were insane. But maybe next year or later this year for Mexico.

Anyways, I wanted to grab something festive for my girls and I thought I would share my finds for the whole family. I soooo wish my husband would wear those clover golf pants!

I order the girls the Girls Clover Dress. I ordered it in the green version and the one I posted is the white version. They just didn't have the girls size in the white one.

As for me, Mondays are a work from home day, so I just might order those Women's Clover Leggings or the Women's Glitter Shamrock Shirt.

Thanksgiving Attire For The Family

Halloween hasn't even happened and I am already starting to think about Thanksgiving. With shipping delays and price surges, you have to start planning out now. So I started looking around for some Thanksgiving shirts that we can wear on Thanksgiving or the week of Thanksgiving.

And since I always share what I find, I am sharing now.

Now if you have been following me for a few years, you know that we usually dress up in a fun theme for each Thanksgiving. Sometimes it is the day after Thanksgiving and sometimes it is on Thanksgiving. This year it will be on Friday. And this year's theme is colors. So your family picks a color and you build a costume from that. Example: blue and you could all dress up like the blue man group. And I have no idea what my family is going to be nor a color. So if you have any ideas, please let me know.

As for these shirt/clothes ideas, those will be worn the week of Thanksgiving and possibly on Thanksgiving.

Fall and Winter Cardigans

Happy September first. I can't believe we are already in September. That means football (college and NFL), cooler weather, leaves changing, pumpkin cold brews (not a fan of PSL) and cardigans. I wear cardigans most days at work in the Fall and Winter. I get very cold in my office and love a good cozy cardigan.

I have been loving Abercrombie and Fitch clothes lately. I have a reward to use and one of these cardigan will be in my closet soon. I have both of the Halogen cardigans. The side slit one is in red and it is very light and perfect for Fall and Spring. The long cardigan, I have in cream and it is amazing. It is heavier than the side slit one, but perfect for the office or Fall. I also have the Barefoot Dreams cardigan that I got last year during the Anniversary sale. I was skeptical about it, but it lives up to its love. I only wear it at home, but it has replaced my robe when I work from home.

The other cardigans are ones that I like and want in my closet. But let's be real, I will wait for them to be on sale (probably).

Do you have real Fall weather where you live? We do. We go from the 90s/100s in the Summer to the 50s to 70s in the Fall. It is truly beautiful here in the Fall. But it means that I want to wear jackets at work and when I am outside. I don't have enough Fall like/lightweight jackets, so I am always searching for new ones. Stitch Fix Box 2

I got another Stitch Fix haul in and I thought I would share it with you. But first, I wanted to go over the details on how to get yours if you want to try it out.

If you haven't heard of Stitch Fix, let me tell you a bit about them. You pay a $20 styling fee that can be used towards the purchase of your items that are sent to you. You can create Pinterest boards with styling inspiration, you can go to the Style tab and say if you like outfits or not, you can tell your stylist what you are in the market for and you can take the quiz to give sizing/likes. Then you get a preview (this is new to me) of what is to come. If you don't like something, you can change it out or have a new box made.

For this box I asked for some dresses that could be worn to work or on the weekends. I also asked for shorts and I took a shorts quiz to let them know my style. I also asked for a few tank tops. 

My stylist came through on giving me items that I requested, but kind of missed the mark as I had taken quizzes to help with my style. I said I hated Bermuda shorts and I got one pair of those. The others were fine.

So what did I get in my second fix?

Papermoon Basima Back Detail Knit Top - $30

At first sight, I thought this was a great shirt for me. I loved the criss cross detail, the material and color. But after trying it on, it was very flowy and wide in the midsection. So it ultimately went back. RETURNED

Sanctuary Deva Button and Tie Front Cotton Tank - $48

When I saw this, I thought it was completely my style and it is. It looked great on and I was almost going to get it until I saw almost the same exact shirt, by the same company on sale at Macy for $36. $48 for a tank top is way too much. RETURNED

Mavi Gina Bermuda Short - $68

I took these out of the box and knew they would go back. I am not for the bermuda short trend. I did try them on in the above pictures and the one below. RETURNED

Lilly Pulizer Callahan Knit Short 5" - $68

I am not a huge fan of the Lilly Pulitzer trend but I thought these were actually cute and fun. Perfect for golf. They fit well, were super comfortable and didn't really feel like they were 5 inches on the inseam. But in the end, I am not paying $68 for shorts I would only wear golfing. RETURNED

Kaileigh Amandine Knit Dress - $50

I didn't think this dress was that great when I pulled it out of the box, but the fit surprised me. I think the "style/pattern" isn't that great for me, but the fit was perfect. I just wish it came in a solid color or a different print. It was also the perfect length on me and didn't show any cleavage which is a huge deal when looking or RETURNED

So overall this wasn't a very successful fix, but I did find a type of dress that I would like and now I am looking for it in a more solid pattern or a pattern that I like more. 

And since I returned everything, Stitch Fix is sending me a new box in hopes that I find something I like this time. UPDATE: I just viewed the preview and it was awful. I wrote a note on what I didn't like and what I need and was way more specific about it. I guess we will see when the new box comes in.

Valentine's Day Wear

I know Valentine's Day isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I still celebrate it. It is a bit different now with kids in that we focus more on them for this day than my husband and I. We have in the past gone out to dinner, but with the pandemic still going strong, I am thinking we will have a date night in. Maybe filets and lobster tails or crab legs. The possibilities are endless.

Anyways, in year's past I did gift guides, but with gift guides from Christmas so recent, I didn't know if you all want one. So do you want a Valentine's Day gift guide? Or a gift guide for kids? Or skip it this year?

I did come here today to show some Valentine's Day wear. Most of this you can wear all year long. Last year, I bought this sweater and plan on wearing it again this year.

Our Christmas Outfits

I love shopping for special day outfits. So when it got closer to Christmas, I started looking for outfits for the girls and then a bit later for myself. I found the cutest Christmasy dresses for the girls and then added tights from the same place (H&M) and the shoes were part of their Christmas gifts. My girls love shoes, so I try to buy them multiple pairs for their birthday/Christmas gifts.

As for my outfit, I got it on major sale. I got it for $23.50, normally $118. I paired it with some Vince Camuto pumps that I already had. 

Rory usually wears something from his closet, so I didn't include him in our Christmas outfits. But I do give it to him as he will try to pick out something that matches or goes with our outfits.

A few notes on the girls outfits. The red dresses have a sparkle to them, but they do not shed glitter or anything. The fabric just has a sparkle to it. And that goes with the gold tights too. They are not glittery. And I got the patent ballet flats on sale for $6.99 plus 5% off for using my Target card.

In our house, we do Elf on the Shelf. It is a labor of love. That is for sure. But my girls love it! As part of their gift from their Elf, Giuseppe, the girls get Christmas pajamas. So when I was browsing for Christmas pjs, I thought I would share the ones that I was looking at. Most of these are gender neutral, so they work for all kids. Do you do Elf on the Shelf? Holiday Dresses

I don't know about you, but I am excited to dress up for the holidays. And for the first time in forever, I get to go to a real Christmas party. Rory and I worked (I still work there) at the same place. Their idea of a holiday party was an office pot luck. We did have one co-worker who would put together a holiday party for some of us, but it was always casual. I haven't been to a real Christmas party since previous to this job, and that was over 14 years ago. So needless to say, I am very excited. And yes, it is a small office, so we will be adhering to the rules on gathering numbers.

Anyways, I have been searching around for some holiday dresses. Some of these I wish I could wear to the party, but they are a little too dressed up for it. And they are all under $150. Most of them, but one are under $100.

Halloween Attire

We are getting closer to Halloween and that means fun festive clothes. I know my kids like to wear Halloween gear leading up to Halloween and sometimes the day of (to save their costumes for later), and I thought I would share some items now because last year they were all sold out a week or so before Halloween. I have included mostly girls stuff and a few things for moms/women.

Orange Kids Sweater - This first outfit is probably the one my girls would chose right away. This sweater just looks so cozy!

Kids Orange Sparkly Skirt - This skirt is something my girls pick right away. Anything with sparkles and tulle is right up their alley. Pretty much like their mama. Plus you could wear this skirt for Thanksgiving dinner as well.

Kids Glow in the Dark Halloween Long Sleeve - This shirt glows in the dark and is so festive.

Women's Squad Tee - I love Hocus Pocus and most people do too. This shirt was quickly added to my shopping cart.

Kids Halloween Dress - This dress has been seen everywhere. I know Lindsay's daughter loves it.

Kids Cat Pants - These pants I had in mind to go with the dress above since it gets chilly in late October here in Nevada. The girls had similar ones for Valentine's Day which had hearts at the knees and were red.

Women's Bat Sweater - This sweater doesn't have any reviews, but it looked really cute.

Kids Black Tulle Skirt - This is another skirt my girls would want in their wardrobe. It is fun, festive and prefect for Fall.

Fall Sweatshirts and Sweaters

Last week Jen over at The Lucky Lifestyle posted about some Fall sweaters/sweatshirts and I knew I had to do the same. So thank you Jen for the idea. I am all about sweaters/sweatshirts. Since I am still going to be working from home for the foreseeable future, I want comfy clothes to work in.

During the early days of quarantine, I wore sweatshirts and leggings daily. It was my go to. And it will be the same this Fall and Winter. So I thought I would share some sweaters/sweatshirts I had my eye on.

J Crew Terry Cloth Sweatshirt (Top Left) J Crew has some of the best sweaters. I have a few sweatshirts of theirs and I wear them for years. One of my favorites is similar but it is gray and it has gold hearts all over it.

Prana Cozy Up Sweatshirt (Top Right) I have been slowly adding Prana sweatshirts/sweaters to my collection. I LIVED in two of them during this quarantine and they are the best for travel.

Prana Milani Hoodie (Middle Left) This is a staple in anyone's closet up just a bit more upscale. I love that it has the classic hoodie look, with a half zip down but the material is super nice.

Prana Milani V-Neck (Middle Center) Same type of look at as the hoodie, but in a v-neck. 

Prana Carin Pullover (Middle Right) I love this sweatshirt because I love the floral abstract look to it. It is feminine, but cozy looking. This one is definitely being bought!

Prana Analia Cozy Sweater (Bottom Left) This looks like a lighter weight sweater, but the best part of it is it is made with cardiff fabric which has a spf 30 in it.

Lululemon Take It All In Sweater (Bottom Middle) Another favorite sweatshirt of mine is from Lululemon. It is pricey, but so worth it. I wear it on trips, everyday and it show little wear. And it is hard to tell in the picture above but it has thumb holes.

Zella Carey Crew High/Low Sweatshirt (Bottom Right) I don't own any Zella clothing, but I know everyone raves about it. This sweater looks so comfy and I think you could even pull it off with jeans for a less casual look.

Toddler Spring and Summer Wear

Toddler Spring Wear

I hit up Old Navy last weekend and I feel like I bought out the whole store. The girls needed a bunch of clothes for Mexico plus Spring and Summer, if they ever get to Nevada, so I went to Old Navy and found so many things. These either made it in my shopping cart or we are on the search for them.

What's Hap-Pinning

This has been my "uniform" on the weekends lately. Skinny jeans rolled with either sandals or booties and a fun top. Throw on the utility jacket for an evening out and you are all set.

It is no secret that I love my Tieks. I have them in the prettiest ballet pink and I want to add ALL of the colors to closet. I just need to win the lottery. These flats are beyond comfy....even for chasing toddlers around all day (which is my future). Buy them. You will love them.

This skirt is perfect and something I would LOVE to wear to work, after work or whenever. I love this whole outfit and I need to find a skirt like this. Something fresh, floral and flowy. The simple pops of green are gorgeous in this outfit.
